We're really delighted to announce that QVC have been awarded not one... not two... but three awards in the Crafts Beautiful 2008 Craft Awards. Get us!
Categories we won...
Best Website for Customer Services - QVCUK.com Craft
Best TV Shopping Channel for Craft - QVC
Best Mail Order - QVC
Also among the winners were a few QVC favourites;
Best Overall Card Designer 2008 - Dawn Bibby (right)
Best Independent Store - North of England - Topaz Crafts, Lancashire
Plus, regular guest Leonie Pujol walked away as runner-up in the Best Craft Book category.
The winners were all voted for by Crafts Beautiful readers and craft enthusiasts across the country. You may remember that we asked QGossip readers to cast their votes for QVC, Dawn and Leonie.
So, a huge thank you to all of you who voted to make QVC and our friends such a huge hit in the Crafts Beautiful 2008 Craft Awards, and here's to 2009!

Congratulations, but it is not surprising when Dawn works for Crafts Beautiful and QVC promotes them.

Congratulations to the whole team of QVC on your crafting programmes. There are a few annoying things that other people have already brought up. 2 lady presenters who do not appear to know anything about crafting but pretend to, I know it is their job, but please don't talk above the guests, it is very rude. I love watching Katherine Huntley amd Anthony on the shows - they do make the whole programme go with a swing. Keep it up. I am in New Zealand at present, waiting for next TSV on Saturday

Congratulations Dawn and Leonnie so well deserved and to all the QVC team, camerrammen not forgetting the dispatch dep in knowsley and cleaning staff.

Congratulations QVC on the awards, but I do agree with the other comments that Rosemary Merry should get a mention. All due respect to Dawn and her team, but there are other people who work just as hard and with no mention.
I also think that the presenter should not talk over the person who is demonstrating as it is the height of rudeness. There are 2 particular lady presenters who do this (one worse than the other) and you would think that they are the experts on whatever show they are presenting. I end up turning over to another channel as I get fed up with the sound of her voice. Can we have a little more politeness from the presenters who talk too much please?
Posted by: Maureen Hemming | 27 February 2009 at 04:56 PM
I do congratulate you but feel that Rosemary Merry is always pushed aside in favour of Dawn. No dis respect to Dawn but Rosemary hardly ever gets a mention
Dawn and QVC have regular articles in this magazine and it makes me feel a little un-easy when they sweep the boards and no mntion of the second or third placed .
I find the crafting shows very rushed and would also like the QVC presenters to tone down their imput as Dawn has too little time.

well done on all the awards we all know dawn and qvc are the best cant wait for the next tsv will be waiting once again well done

Very well done to all concerned, so well deserved!
Posted by: Jackie Holton | 24 February 2009 at 08:56 AM
Congratulations to all you have won an award (and come second/third).
Why is there no mention of Rosemary Merry's very much deserved award?????? Scrapbooker of the year! WELL DONE ROSEMARY (and team). Perhaps this is because it wasn't a Crafts Beautiful award. However, a mention of her success would have been nice too.
Posted by: KitKat | 23 February 2009 at 09:23 AM
In thought Rosemary Merry won an award as well for Scrapbooking, its a pity QVC always seem to forget about her.

Congratulations to all at QVC your awards are well deserved. Although I do agree with some of the comments that the shows are rushed and some of the presenters seem to have a lot of unecessary imput, these products sell themselves especially when demonstrated by Dawn and her team. Also I get frustrated when items are briefly previewed and then sell out before they can be demonstrated, but yours is by far the best channel for craft so hope you find these comments constructive.

I agree with Frances Hammond, it would be nice if you mentioned who came second and third.
Having said that, CONGRATULATIONS on the awards

I have no doubt that these are well deserved awards but Dawn and QVC have regular articles in this magazine and it makes me feel a little un-easy when they sweep the boards and no mntion of the second or third placed .

What about recognising Rosemary Merry's award ???
Seems very biased if you ask me - shame on you QVC

well done Dawn, QVC, your fantastic guests, cutomer services and everyone who helps with the craft shows. I always turn to QVC first when looking for craft products and think that the ranges you have and the value for money is fantastic. I have been on Maternity leave and cant wait for Tuesday afternoons! Am going back to work soon and will have to record the hours as I cannot miss your help and inspiration.
Only one complaint, and that is that I always spend too much! I look for 1 thing and end up buying 6! Especially Heidi Grace!!!
Keep up the good work you thoroughly deserve the recognition.

Congratulations QVC and of course Dawn and her team. I love watching qvc and very much look forward to watching on a tuesday 2-4pm for crafting with dawn and others. Qvc is most definitely quality, value and convenience and it shows with the presenters, the way its modelled and advertised, the ordering dept and customer services. Well Done!!

Congratulations to Dawn, Leonie, and of course QVC - not forgetting those 'behind the scenes' who we know work very hard to support the 'award winners'.
A customer of QVC for many years, Dawn and her team have given me so much inspiration for my crafting and I learn something new most times I watch them crafting. QVC has never let me down either, with their unrivaled customer service.
A huge thank you to you all.

Hi and "CONGRATULATIONS" to everyone involved in getting the well deserved awards. I felt so proud for all of you,( its as if you were family, i dont shop any where else but with QVC. I did not class my self as a crafter, but after watching Dawn, while off sick, she certainly inspired me, so much so that its not only for my daughter i buy for its me too.Across the board the Quality, High Standards, Customer Services, the Presenters(are very entertaining), but the value for money is second to none!!! Thank you. Once again Congratulations everyone!!!

Congratulations to all the team at QVC on your well deserved award, and to Dawn and her team well done! My Tuesdays are reserved for watching Dawn and no one dare disturb me. I love the fact that so many different items are shown in the 2 hours allocated (tho thats not enough for me) Other channels show one item and talk about it all through the show which gets boring after a while so thats why I love crafting and Dawn and QVC.

Congratulations to Dawn and all the team at QVC,who bring us such wonderful crafting products.I cannot fault the quality. I love to try out different things, I just wish you were able to spend a bit more time showing us how to use them - you always seem to be getting rushed along! Keep up all your good work inspiring so many of us crafters.

Would like to add my congratulations to QVC and Dawn and Leonie for their awards/runner up awards.
Having read other comments posted 4 February - would like to say I am extremely happy with the product prices from QVC and also the quality of the goods and excellent service from the Customer Services Team - who richly deserve their award!!!
Postage could be a little cheaper but, hey - you don't get everything you want in this life and it's not extortionate by any stretch of the imagination!!
Posted by: Karen Leggatt | 05 February 2009 at 02:04 PM
congratulations to dawn + leoni on your awardsall so to all qvc staff from the bottom to the top
Posted by: jan hickling | 04 February 2009 at 03:21 PM
Well done on your awards, you definitely show a wider range of items than some others in terms of craft, and they are therefore deserved.
I look forward to seeing you capitalise and build on this success by widening your range of other craft items to the same extent as cardmaking. I also hope that you begin to lower prices and postage, combined postage, and swifter delivery time as your competitors already have, in order that you really can excel on every element of service.
Good luck, and I hope that you let this fair post through rather than edit it out in favour of gushing commentary!

I love the value and quality of QVC products. During this winter I have had to have 2 periods off work due to illness, nothing makes you feel better than sitting in front of an open fire watching crafting with a large mug of hot chocolate. Thank you for all your advice and freindly service.
