Alison Keenan: My winter memories
We didn't have much of a summer so let's pray for snow this winter!
One of my favourite things to do, if there's been a snowfall, is to get up really early and walk in the newly fallen snow before anyone else has touched it. I love the crunching sound it makes and the stillness in the air.
When the children were younger we'd get up first thing and attempt to make a snowman, and then go sledging in the field nearby. We didn't always have a sledge but tin trays were just as good!
I also love sitting in front of a roaring fire listening to music or reading a good book, with a glass of mulled wine in my hand.
How do you make the most of the colder months?
Love Alison
