Meet our final Breast Cancer Care model - Joanne Wong
This year we've followed three of the Breast Cancer Care Fashion Show models on their journey from casting to catwalk.
We've already introduced you to Lance Bryant and Angela Edgcombe, and now it's time to meet our last model, Joanne Wong.
Breast cancer and celebration may seem like polar opposites, but for Joanne from Newton Aycliffe in County Durham, celebrating was the order of the day when she took part in this year's Fashion Show.
Joanne took the decision to model in The Show as an inspiration to anyone living with breast cancer, to prove that you can still feel good and look great.
Joanne had only just got married when she was diagnosed with breast cancer four days before Christmas in 2006. 'Being diagnosed came as a huge shock and having a mastectomy not long after really knocked my confidence. But with the support of my wonderful husband, family and friends, I've been able to put one of the worst years of my life behind me.'
'Modelling in The Show marks an exciting new beginning for me. I would never have dreamt of getting up on a catwalk before; I feel really proud to be a part of the fashion show and proud of myself too. It's great to be able to show people of my age that life doesn't stop just because you've had breast cancer. In fact, it can be even better!'

Hi Joanne,
Thanks for sharing your personal story with us all. It's been amazing hearing about the strength and positivity you (and Lance & Angela, our other 2 models) have found in the midst of what must be the most devastating and frightening time.
I wish you a wonderful night of working that catwalk and many more years of inspiring others.
Much love to you and yours,
Catherine x
