Catherine Huntley heads to the Steiff Museum in Germany

Hi everyone,

You'll never guess where I'm off to! This Friday I'll be in the Steiff museum in Germany and you can see me there live from 8pm on QVC.

Yes, me and my beloved Steiff kittycat are off to Giengen, birthplace of Margarete Steiff, founder of Steiff and creator of some of the very first teddy bears. Throughout the show we'll have lots of new bears, different kinds of animals, some cosy Steiff friends and even some limited edition collectables for you to enjoy.

My children bought me a teddy bear several years ago which I would always take with me if I was away overnight. They would hug it full of hugs and then I had their hugs to keep me company when I missed my littlies' cuddles.

Sadly, my bear went missing but I am now mummy to a Steiff cat that I fell madly in love with at first sight and she has now taken on the role of my travel companion. She is so lifelike and snugglesome. She will be with me as we journey to Giengen, Germany, to the Steiff museum and may even make an appearance on TV, too.

We will both be meeting Johannes Steiff, part of the Steiff family, and will be watching finishing touches being expertly applied to Steiff animals by hand. Ian and Layla from Steiff will also be with us so please join us and call in or text on the day.

I have a large vintage steiff collection. Some of the pieces were purchased in Germany when my father was in the air force in the 1950s. All are in near perfect condtion. Who can I contact that would be interested in these beautiful pieces of art? I want them to have a forever home with someone that would appreciate them.

I have a QVC account and have purchased a number of Bears from QVC as my wife collects steiff bears currently owns seven. I would love to treat her to a weekend break to the Steiff Factory & Museum but I am having trouble to find a package deal,Can you let me know if it is possible to book such a long weekend break [Friday - Monday] and who I should contact.

Why do bears have fur coats. Because they looked stupid a anorake.
What should you call Bald Teddy. Fred bear.
One day I will grow with a bit of luck have a great trip in Germany.
