High-profile beauty expert Sarah Chapman is introducing her new beauty range to QVC, and we can't wait to check it out! Sarah regularly contributes to glossy magazines like Vogue and appears on TV, most recently Channel 4's 'Ten years younger', plus she has her own clinic so she's a real source of knowledge.
Sarah's launching her new beauty range at QVC this Sunday and we caught up with her during the week to pick up some beauty tips...
What do you enjoy most about being a beauty expert?
I love the challenge. It's really rewarding when clients get satisfaction and happiness with their skin’s improvement and you really can change the way
they feel about themselves.
I also enjoy researching different aspects of beauty, working with the media on news stories, and writing advice columns on latest treatments and products.
Who have you given facials to and what were they like?
I give facials to Uma Thurman, who is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen! She has an incredible elegance with an inner and outer beauty all of her own. I look after Naomi Watts whenever she's in town filming and she's very down to earth with a delicate petite beauty. Queen Rania of Jordan visits for a facial whenever she's in London too. I find her a stunning and intelligent woman, plus she's always hugely supportive to my skincare missions. All of them have such beautiful skin.
Natural-looking skin is a big trend at the moment - how can we get the look?
Thorough cleansing is really important for a flawless complexion. I recommend massaging in Overnight Facial every night before bed - the combination of peptides, vitamins and omega oils helps promote healthy-looking skin.
Before a party or special occasion, use a good exfoliator and mask to give the skin a glow. I use Eye Recovery to instantly plump and smooth the appearance of lines, combining with Age Repair Serum for added radiance. To finish I would apply a dusting of mineral powder and a soft pink cheek blush with a natural highlighter on the cheekbones to emphasise the angles of the face.
What are your top three tips for keeping skin in good condition?
1. Cleanse thoroughly every day.
2. A facial massage to help boost circulation and drain toxins.
3. A daily application of vitamin A and antioxidants with SPF protection.
How can you disguise dark under-eye circles?
Drinking lots of water can help. Use your fingertips to lightly ‘pump’ the under-eye area from the inner to outer corner. I use my Eye Recovery which is specifically developed to work on dark circles, lines and puffiness, and it also contains light reflectants to help blur and disguise imperfections, making eyes look instantly better.
