Emma Lamport tells us what's new from Tiffany Style Lighting

Emma Lamport is the face of Tiffany Style Lighting and yesterday she celebrated her eighth year at QVC. Here she tells us about the trends in interior design, what's new for Tiffany Style Lighting, and shows us what her own home is like.

What's new for Tiffany Style Lighting?

We have three great new pieces and all of are very different. There's the Amber Mosaic Fireplace Screen which features original mosaic panels accented with black, cast iron detailing. The rich autumnal colours make it ideal for updating your living space with next season's trends without having to redecorate.

Next up is the Pearlised Lit Base Table Lamp. I love the blues, creams and azure shades in this piece which is reminiscent of the ocean. The base almost reminds me of the Greek goddess of the sea, Aphrodite - rising from the ocean and bringing a magical touch to your lighting.

And finally, there's the Rose Designed Table Lamp. The forest greens and burnt reds are gorgeous autumnal shades which, again, are prefect as we enter the autumn season. The dark rich shades will look fantastic when lit - the reflections against a neutral background will create a focal point in itself.

Tell us more about trends in interior design at the moment...

Interior design is still staying with neutral shades - such as your calicos, hessians and magnolias - and using these as base colours so you can introduce your own individuality through colour. Mixing rich, vivid Victorian-style colours, like deep browns and burnt reds, with natural shades is very on-trend at the moment. It's all about having the confidence to blend different styles together - classic furniture and contemporary pieces can blend beautifully together with the help of the right lighting. 

Combine these elements with the soft occasional lighting that Tiffany Style lamps have to offer, and you can create the perfect decor for your room. Adding soft lighting is really effective at blending different decor styles in a room, bringing everything together and giving things depth.

How do you create the right ambience in your home?

Creating the right ambience in your home is all about key lighting. You can see in the pictures of my home that I use beautiful, occasional lighting, such as small table lamps, to highlight key pieces of furniture. When lit, Tiffany Style Lighting reflects all the vivid and vibrant colours from the stained glass onto your walls, adding another dimension to your decor.

The right lighting can also completely change the atmosphere of a room or home, and it also affects our moods. Tiffany Style lamps give off the kind of lighting that makes a house a home.

What are your favourite Tiffany products at the moment?

My first choice would have to be a fire screen. You can make your fireplace or surround an instant focal point and utilise the usually wasted space at the same time.

Another favourite has to be the white and ginger Tabby Cat purely because I'm a huge cat lover. It always reminds me of my faithful, furry friend Mr Valentino, who's the most well behaved man in my house!
