Claudia Sylvester chats about her summer holidays

Claudia and her daughter Bella Hello! Hope you're enjoying the summer!

This is a pic of my daughter Bella and I on holiday in Cyprus recently. We had such a lovely time.

Before the holiday
I love going on family holidays. Before I go I always get a spray tan at my local salon so I'm not too pale. That way I'm not tempted to sunbathe, not that I get much chance with three active children! I'm always on the move - swimming, chasing them along the beach, going on treasure hunts.

Simon Biagi: My Morning Show experience

Simon Biagi QGossip spoke to Simon Biagi backstage after he'd finished his first Morning Show. Simon teamed up with fellow presenter Kathy Tayler in the show - following in the footsteps of Debbie and Dale who presented in Monday's first ever Morning Show.

How was the show?

I found it really exciting - it was nice to have a real burst of energy first thing in the morning and get the day off to a bang.

Did your background in morning TV help?

Yes it did. Kathy used to work on TVam and I was at GMTV. We would kick off the day at six o' clock in the morning and start like there was no tomorrow!

The Morning Show was a bit like going back in the past, but that was quite nice because once again I'm beginning the day with a 'sprint'.

Dale and Debbie: Our first ever morning show

Dale FranklinDebbie GreenwoodWe caught up with Dale and Debbie catching a quick coffee after the first ever showing of The Morning Show. Missed it? Find out what all the buzz is about...

So a question we've been burning to ask: how did your first show go?

Dale: It was fantastic! There was a lot of tension beforehand because we knew all eyes would be on it. It was certainly a big start for a Monday morning!

Debbie: There wasn't a huge amount of time to prepare and we didn’t want to disappoint either.

Dale: I think that despite all our experience, especially with Debbie having done many years on breakfast show TV before, we still got really nervous. The adrenalin is good though and it all came together in the end!

Glen answers your summer fashion worries

Glen CampbellHello everyone,

I hope you're all ok and enjoying the warm weather! Thank you for all your questions, I hope the answers help.

Hi Glen
I'm a fairly young 46 (ie no wrinkles yet!), I'm somewhat chunky but luckily in proportion. However, I have really big upper arms, way out of proportion to the rest of my body (17"!!) I always end up in stretchy T shirts etc....HELP (sniff!)

Glen says: Being worried about your upper arms is a common problem. Soft, sheer fabrics that hint at skin are great for summer. Satin, silks, linen and mesh are all good fabrics to go for and can be worn day or night. For evening wear, go for beaded wraps or pashminas - these will hide your upper arms but won't add any extra bulk.

QGossip talks to the artist Thomas Kinkade

Thomas KinkadeThomas Kinkade is America's most collected living artist, and he's over here at QVC for the first time in four years. We asked the 'Painter of Light' about his inspirations, tips for painters, and who he'd most like to have as dinner guest…

What's your favourite part of the UK to paint?

The Cotswolds where Nanette, my wife, and I lived for a period of time.

Why do you think your work holds such a lasting appeal?

My artwork fundamentally reinforces the foundational values of life like home, family, beauty, simplicity, quietude, peace and serenity. It reminds us of what is important in life, not what is urgent in life.

Which artist(s) do you most admire and why?

Norman Rockwell because he created art for real people.  He didn't care what the critics thought.  He wanted to create and did create art that people could simply enjoy.

QVC supports the Thrive Battersea Garden Project

Sarah Price donating plants to gardeners at ThriveEver wondered what happens to all the plants at the Chelsea Flower Show? Well, QVC has donated plants from its medal-winning garden to the charity Thrive to celebrate the opening of Thrive's new Herb Garden in Battersea Park, London.

Sarah Price, designer of the QVC Garden, was there at the weekend to present the plants to the charity. Sarah has been helping the gardeners at Thrive create the new Herb garden, offering her expert knowledge in the process.

The Herb garden is part of the Thrive Battersea Garden Project, which is an ongoing scheme to improve the charity's gardening facilities within the park.

QVC has an ongoing relationship with Thrive; last year we donated plants from our Bejewelled Garden, which were planted in the 'Old English Garden' in Battersea Park. We also raised £5000 for the charity with a staff jewellery sale.

We hope everyone at Thrive enjoys some happy gardening!

Richard Jackson: Visiting QVC presenters' gardens

Richard Jackson Hello there! Which of the QVC presenters do you think is a dab hand in the garden? Well, in addition to Anthony's garden, I've also visited the gardens of Kathy Tayler and Simon Biagi.

Anthony has this wonderfully neat and pristine riverside garden, while Kathy's garden is very natural, and Simon has an exciting tropical courtyard and a very attractive country garden that looks out onto beautiful countryside.

Each of them had different problems with their gardens. Simon was struggling with rabbits and clay soil, so I showed him how to sort that out. Kathy wanted this natural look to her garden and we talked about ways she could achieve that.

I also know that Charlie is a very keen on gardening because his dad is a gardener. It's fantastic that so many QVC presenters enjoy gardening, and wherever possible the presenters take plants home to try out in their gardens so that they can talk from experience.

The only question mark I have about any of the presenters' gardening abilities is Julian's - I think he could kill anything just by looking at it!

Richard

Jilly's summer fashion tips

Jilly Halliday Hi everyone!

I love summer holidays but sometimes choosing the right things to wear can be a bit of a dilemma! Here's my advice on how to dress for the warmer months...

My summer essentials
When I go on holiday I have to have a really good pair of large sunglasses! Not only do they make a fashion statement but they protect the delicate skin around the eyes. My Crocs are also an essential - quite chunky footwear I know - but they're so handy for travelling and you can't ruin them in the sea.

I always pack a couple of long sarongs - when I'm away I wear them from breakfast until dinner! I always buy plain block colour sarongs as they are much more versatile than the printed ones.

Claudia Sylvester: Where I like to go for a real treat...

Stoke Park Club SpaHi everyone,

I just wanted to share with you one of my favourite places to go to for a pampering treat: Stoke Park Club Spa. It's one of the top 100 spas in the world and is a hot spot for celebrities too - from Daniel Craig to the whole of the England soccer team!

The good news is that they're launching a brand new range of natural spa beauty products - called the Stoke Park Collection - which I'm really excited about and I know you'll love too! It's coming soon to QVC, and you just have to try it!

Stoke Park Club - my second home
My husband Steve and I are members of this family-run club and are always treated like extended family. We play a lot of golf there and I use the spa for ultimate pampering! Like me, the club supports Breast Cancer Care and has done for four years. I'm often approached by other members of the club when I'm there who happen to be avid QVC viewers, which is always really nice.

Alison Keenan: Take a peek into my dressing room

Alison Keenan Hi everyone, hope you're all ok. Welcome to my dressing room. It's filled with make-up, clothes and quite a few sentimental ornaments - things that my children have given to me for birthdays and good luck messages over the years. I also have photos of my children, my man, as well as a snap of Debbie Greenwood and me at a Christmas party years ago. I keep it up as she inspires me to make an effort with my appearance every day!

My ritual before I go on air
The only ritual I have before I go on air is to panic that I won't find my earpiece and be late to the studio!!
