Dale and Debbie: Our first ever morning show

We caught up with Dale and Debbie catching a quick coffee after the first ever showing of The Morning Show. Missed it? Find out what all the buzz is about...

So a question we've been burning to ask: how did your first show go?

Dale: It was fantastic! There was a lot of tension beforehand because we knew all eyes would be on it. It was certainly a big start for a Monday morning!

Debbie: There wasn't a huge amount of time to prepare and we didn’t want to disappoint either.

Dale: I think that despite all our experience, especially with Debbie having done many years on breakfast show TV before, we still got really nervous. The adrenalin is good though and it all came together in the end!

Do you think you can be QVC's new version of Richard and Judy?

Debbie: Too young!

Dale: We could be the new Hinge and Bracket! (lots of laughter)

Debbie: We are similar though as we do like to have a chat and a joke.

Dale: We have a similar sense of humour too, which is important. We can laugh things off. Also, having a male and female presenter helps too because there may be times when sometimes I think, 'thank goodness Debbie is presenting that product' and vice versa with DIY etc!

Debbie: Don't let me near DIY!

Dale: It was quite girly today actually…

Debbie: You quite like that, though don't you…

Dale: That is true, yes! We did have fantastic guests today too.

How was the early start?

Dale: I had to get in for 7am and Debbie was in even earlier…

Debbie: …make-up! I was in at 6.30am.

Dale: I ended up rushing my breakfast because I didn't realise I had a meeting and then Debbie and I had to do a quick walk-through…

Debbie: I couldn't find the Kim & Co clothes to wear!

What makes The Morning Show different from other QVC shows?

Debbie: Competitions! We offer £50 credit every day (you have until 9.15am to enter every day), which is fantastic. We had lots of people ringing in too, which was great. I kept forgetting our new email address though!

Dale: The thing is that as it's QVC, it's completely new from any other morning TV shows. I was so chuffed to find out I was doing it, and especially with Debbie as I knew we'd have fun together. It was frenetic and hard work but very exciting!

Debbie: It was good to be able to drink coffee on air too!

Dale: It's like a mini Breast Cancer Care event because we are all over the building and it's very high energy.
