We caught up with Lulu to chat about men, music and her Time Bomb range…
Who are your dream dinner guests?
Elton John - he's funny, well informed and a great gossip! His partner David is also great, he's very charming and a wonderful party guest. I'd also invite Barack Obama as I would love to have a chat with him. But I'm a girl's girl, so I would invite my friend Susannah Constantine (from Trinny and Susannah), my sister and my nieces.
What qualities do you look for in a man?
A sense of humour is very important. I like sophisticated men, someone that's well travelled and can keep up a conversation. I like men who enjoy the arts. Oh and he's got to be able to dance - the Salsa!
What are your three desert island essentials?
My Time Bomb Survival Kit, water and an umbrella.
You've spoken about using botox in the past, why do you stick to skincare products now?
Well I feel like I've done the botox thing - been there, done that, got the T shirt. That day has come and gone. It made parts of my face stop moving and that didn’t make me look younger. It didn’t look good. To look younger you have to concentrate on skin tone and colour. I believe in dermabrasion, you need to get rid of the dull, grey skin cells to let the younger fresher skin shine through. When you're younger you can use whatever you want on your skin, but now that I'm older I can't. I've got very fair, thin skin and can't get professional dermabrasion because of it. That’s why I love my Time Bomb cleanser - it has micro crystals in it to gently scrub away the dead skin cells.
What's the strangest thing you've ever received from a fan?
Hmm…I've never really had anything strange sent to me…I suppose it's strange when people send in photos of me! I never want to see that, I see enough of myself in the mirror everyday!
Do you spend much time in Scotland?
Not really, I'd love to, but I live in London now and don't get much time. I'm very proud of my heritage and when people say are you British I say no I'm Scottish. My accent's got weaker as I've been away for so long and I've even got a bit of an American twang because I've got lots of American friends. I've lived over there too for short periods, I love it over there.
You've sung with some of the world's greats, is there anyone you would like to work with?
I would love to work with Timbaland, he's great. Dallas Austin is a wonderful writer and producer. He's worked with TLC and more recently Pink and I would love to work with him. These days it's not about working with great singers, it's all about working with great producers. Neyo and Tricky are also artists I would like to collaborate with. I would love to sing with Steven Tyler, but we would look a sight on stage - he's so tall and I'm so tiny!
Catch up with Lulu on QVC TV today presenting her first ever Time Bomb Today's Special Value...

I was a bit skeptical as there are so many anti aging beauty products out there, but I went for Lulu's Today's Special Value Time Bomb package last week. I started using it last Saturday as soon as it came. Wow... this is something else. My skin's texture and appearance literally changed over night. As far as I'm concerned all the other brand names can retire. This is THE BEST. My skin feels like velvet, nourished and hydrated and dare I say, as a woman on the wrong side of 50, I look and feel so much younger after just a few days.., AND I'VE HAD COMMENTS. I'd love to get involved and promote your range. THANKS THANKS THANKS LULU. I'll be with you forever. Don't ever dry up!!

I have used the products for aprx 8 months now and absolutley love the range, the only gripe i have is that when you come to reorder you are not able to buy more than one product in the same postage, it all has to be posted seperatly, the reason i was given by QVC was that they are kept in different locations at the warehouse, i find it hard to belive that they are all that far apart. It obviously puts up the cost considerably which may put people off.I look forward to your reply. thankyou. I love watching Alison do her slot with celebrities like Lulu...Alison makes things real and is quite witty at times. I am curious though what lip gloss Lulu was after (a second time)on her recent show, as she always tries to cadge one off Alison... Let me know if you know. Love watching....
