This weekend is supposed to be lovely weather – like last Sunday when sis and I were out at a rugby club BBQ in Chipstead in the sunshine. Had a lovely get together with about 18 family members then went back to brother Glenn’s in the evening. Was quite funny when we were combating the strong winds at the BBQ though – since bro is pretty much pro-EU and many other family are pro-Leave – he heard the comment about ‘trouble with poles’ and said ‘I’m not talking politics!’ Then realised they meant the metal poles holding up one of the gazebos over the face-painting stall! Lol!
Yes the election/referendum is creating quite a stir amongst many. One of the nieces needs contributors for their work and would like you to fill in a fun survey: if you like! Just – go here to get your opinion counted in a six-question survey – just for fun! I have twelve nieces, four nephews and two great-nieces! No grandchildren yet – thank goodness! Lots of time for that. I’m bad enough with my daughter’s cute spaniels…! If you are a grandparent what’s the best thing about it?
Anyway we had a lovely bank hol weekend – when I wasn’t at work! See below for some of the shenanigans and a blooper with Charlie!

Fabulous FAB Research – are you near Sheffield? I love learning – you know I’m a geek! Well the recent Bristol food and behaviour research talk – Feeding Better Behaviour, Learning and Mood – comes to Sheffield on Tuesday 17th May at Hilton Hotel, Victoria Quays 6pm. The surge in conditions relating to mental health, wellbeing and performance is linked to rising rates of many physical health problems that are known to be diet-related: from obesity and diabetes, to allergies and other immune system conditions. New scientific research shows how mental and physical disorders often occur together, and how the highly complex links between our guts, brains and immune systems are heavily influenced by what we are eating. Find out more at this inexpensive talk. More here.
Models posing Funny! When we did the sell out jumpsuit, I asked the girls to do a typical catalogue pose and this is what they did – how game for a laugh they are!

Blooper – Charlie loses it – very rare I know, but it happened! Blame the voices in his head… I mean ear… lol
Watch – Captain America – Civil War. War. You know a film is going to be popular when the trailer has 63 million views on YouTube! Wow! So along I went and enjoyed it a lot – excellent script and characterisation, almost to pastiche level at times, including the appearances of Antman, Paul Rudd – a scene stealer for sure, plus lots of funnies from an over-awed Spiderman (boy) too. Cleverly done. Nice twist too. Bit predictable with all the action but you get what’s on the tin. 8 out of ten.
