Pipa has many strings to her bow. Mum to Myles and Ophelia, she runs an online magazine for women, is not only seen on air here at QVC but also heard regularly on BBC radio, spotted in hundreds of NHS centres across the UK hosting parenting documentaries, is a popular speaker for seminars and events but most of all, loves being Mum and menagerie keeper (… chickens coming next!).

She's convinced her genetic make-up has something to do with her busy lifestyle. She is number two of four children, her mum was a dress maker, her father a Gurkha officer, her grandmother was RAF and also used to race cars at Brooklands and her step-grandmother typed up Roald Dahl's manuscripts… all contributing to Pipa's colourful passions and ambitions in life.

    Hi Pipa,
I to have been admiring an item of yours, it was the red ring you wore for the Samsung show on Wednesday 11th Feb. Customers service said it was your own and I was wondering if you would share where it was from. I think it is beautiful and just the treat I’m looking for to celebrate my 4th year of not smoking…

    Hi Pippa,
I have to say I don’t like your hair very blond (white) it is too harsh against your coouring. I prefer it brown and I have to admit I also prefer it a little bit longer, I often think ‘oooh Pippa’s hair looks nice today’ and then you appear next time with it cut or you say you are off to the hairdressers. I think it looks softer when a little longer.
    Blue????? Not so sure!

    Hi Pipa
Another one of your fans here (Tracy from Spalding). I absolutely love your hair. I have always been blonde and you have inspired me to go dark brown for the first time ever!! It feels in much better condition, but it does tend to make me feel really dull and boring. Does your dark hair ever make you feel like that – compared to the blonde I mean. (Not that you could ever look dull and boring to us!!). If you decide to go blonde again, I think I might have to follow you! I also love your hair “style”. I bet you get it done at some fancy London hairdressers. With you being petite, the short crop really suits you. Look forward to seeing your new colour shortly. I’m voting blonde, but only because I secretly want to go back to blonde myself! PS. When are you planning on the change?

oh Tracy you are so right!! I get soooo bored with dark! I find it really dull! It’s so funny reading all your comments – everyone has an opinion, of course, as expected as we all have opinions on everything – but vote wise this is really even stevens so you haven’t helped at all!!! I ended up having the chop last week – my hairdresser was most miffed with me, just like Maureen said, he likes it longer too – but I can’t help it, I just can’t STAND the feeling of hair on my head or around my face – comfort has to come before the look, sorry!!.. besides, I can’t be doing with styling for hours every day! My hair naturally has quite a wave to it and so it takes work when a little longer! As for when I am going to colour it, I am still sitting on the fence so give me a few weeks – let’s say before June! Thanks for all your lovely chit chats xxx

Just watched your Gold Outlet show marathon and was sorry the text message board wasn’t working otherwise I would have responded, along with many others, to your observations and memories regarding smoothing out silver paper i.e. Kitkat wrappers. I am 60 years old and have always fiddled with sweet wrappers and still smooth out wrappers when I’ve been naughty (currently on WW). I would have reminded you that Cadbury’s Roses papers were probably the wrappers you were thinking of. Am I right or am I right??!!. Hope the rest of the holidays are not too frantic for you. You could always go to Sealife, Brighton and pretend you saw a Whale. Oh and by the way I loved your wig.

    Hi ya Pippa,
I haven’t read presenters blog for a very long time and for some reason I decided to listen to your gists so far lol. I came across your ‘love London’ comment and has completely blew me away because this is exactly how I’ve always felt living in London although I’m not originally from UK. I have been living in UK for about 27 years and even met my late husband and also had my two children. I love London so much with it’s exotic lay back atmosphere. Nobody almost don’t care who you are. We have visited all Great Britain and recently returned from Scotland very beautiful particulary the highlands/Isles but felt completely out of place. We felt like an intruder. We have also been to so many places around the world and I always feel at home when we return.
Anyway, I just want to say welcome back home.
    Best wishes

Hi Pippa – You’re one of my faves 😉
Just saw you on a Yankee Candle show, I have come to love Yankee, due to QVC, and have spent far too much on candles, especially at Christmas!
I know you probably won’t be able to say this on TV, although you should 😉 In case you don’t know, this is how you rescue a jar candle that is either faulty (as I had) or one that you had to blow out before it gets to the edge.
Option 1 – light the now faulty candle and allow it to burn as far as it can, this slightly softens the tunnelled edge, take a sharp knife, and run it around the edge to correct the fault, turning the jar as you go, the excess should come out in a long wax ribbon, which you can burn in a tart warmer – fixed!
Option 2 (with option 1) – Buy a special lighter, I use the ‘TurboFlame Soft Grip Multi Tasker’ they’re about £10, they’re the ones that blow like a torch, not a lighter. You can burn down the edge to correct the fault, this is more tricky, but sometimes is a good option for a small edge. Also this is great for cleaning the glass, as we know especially in a large jar, the glass is mucky as it burns down, this lighter re-melts and evaporates the wax left behind on the glass, and you’re left with a nice clean jar 😉
    Pass it on 😉

Hi Pippa, , I would love to know where your beautiful gold sparkly necklace is from. You were wearing it during the Alpha-H skincare range on Weds 18th Jan at 2-3pm. I rang in hoping it would be available through Qvc, but was told it was your own. I have been looking for something similar for a while now, so wondered if you might give me any details. Many thanks

    Hi Pipa,
Have been enjoying beauty day- I was just wondering about the dress you have been wearing on-air while doing the Elemis hour at 22.00-23.00 tonight. Is it available on QVC? If not is it possible to point me in the right direction please?

    Hi Pippa
I was watching you the other night I think it was Saturday when Yankee Candles were on. You mentioned that you make hampers for people for Christmas and that you used certain gift boxes. I cannot rememeber what you said they were and can I get them from QVC ? Thanks Jayne

Pippa are you still married, it worries me that that the comments you sometimes make that you are no longer. Sorry I worry. Take care

Gosh I didn’t realise comments were being left here ….ok, I know some of the more recent ones have caught up with me on Twitter ….Linda I think you are referring to a dress I was wearing …it was a French Connection v neck dress that I was wearing backwards to create that look …lol!! Also Mrs Smith, I get my shoulderless jumpers from various places, French Connection and Armani Exchange are two examples. Finally, Sally, thanks for your comment, there was a post a number of months back which linked to a blog I wrote but in short, yes, we went our separate ways in 2011 xx

I always admired your style and your hair. However, not a fan of your latest style, its make you look older. Much better with shorter hair…sorry!
