I haven’t done a competition on my blog for a while so I decided it might be nice as a post-valentine treat to give away some gorgeous Elemis goodies, particularly if you didn’t have a great Valentine’s Day. As it is usual to go out and celebrate on Valentine’s night, I thought an Elemis night care ritual would fit the bill nicely.
You have your face and your body routines with this collection, and it is worth approximately £190!
All you need to do, to be in with a chance of winning it, is answer this very simple question:
What is the name of our regular Elemis guest?
A) Andrew Bagley
B) Simon Wilson
C) Keeley Aydin
Visit our website to see full details on the giveaway in our Standard Terms and Conditions.
As I am away from QVC until March 2nd, we will run this competition until midnight on that Thursday 2nd March, and the winner will be announced in my blog on the 3rd March – good luck everyone.
Speaking of Valentine’s Day, ours was a little low key this year. There were no flowers (as we are going to be away for a few days so it would have been a waste) and no chocolates (as we were still in week two of Christianne Wolff’s The Body Rescue Plan detox).
To digress for a moment, I still haven’t lost masses of weight, only about four pounds, but my stomach is flatter and my face is thinner. I always lose weight off my face first and it kind of moves down from there. Chris, on the other hand, has lost over half a stone, goes to show how many calories there are in red wine and cheese!
Anyway, back to Valentine’s Day; we did get each other cards and this year we managed to choose different ones!
We had said no gifts, but Chris treated me to a new mug for the copious amount of fruit tea I drink while I’m writing, and I bought him some extra strong mints… I know, very generous of me, but he likes them!
I have been away from QVC for six days already, apart from Tuesday when I was in doing some recordings for the QVC Style channel with Simon Wilson. I had missed his shows over the weekend as they were all late at night and I’m still finishing early evening for medical reasons, so it was really lovely to catch up with him.
Some of Butler & Wilson‘s jewellery we recorded were gorgeous, so keep an eye on the Style channel as well as our live channel.
As I result of having time off, I have written a massive 18,000 words of my next book, which means I am definitely on track for April publication. I will be revealing the title and cover on the next blog on my website www.juliarobertsauthor.com if you are interested, and it should be available to pre-order from the middle of March.
A few weeks ago I mentioned I had bought some Richard Jackson bird food to put in my new bird feeder. I promised you photos of the visiting birds but – despite it being frequented by blue tits, chaffinches, robins etc etc – I haven’t been able to snap any of them because it’s positioned near the conservatory, and they see me approaching and fly off.
The feeder is designed to deter cats and it does, but not so squirrels! I thought we were having to fill it up on a very regular basis and here are the culprits!
Well that’s it from me for a couple of weeks, see you on the 2nd March.
Have a great weekend,
