Wow, we are in the first week of October, in the south we have been blessed with some lovely weather; I often think Autumn and Spring can feel quite similar can’t they? As you have heard me say so many times I love September and also made a little montage of the month on my Instagram page. Follow me there too!
Last week was a busy one the first half of the week I was filming the final block of my Cbeebies TV show, it’s such a fun show to work on and the kids are adorable. Plus I get to wear crazy stuff sometimes, hence the pirate pic.
Then the second half of the week I was at my beloved QVC and wow, what a brilliant few days; one highlight was working with Sandy Burns creator of Sandy Bay London home fragrance for the first time, what a joy and what amazing products she has. As predicted you loved the True Gents collection and the other stars of the show were the 4 wick candle and 3 wick flat dish candles… check them out if you missed the show.
Then of course it was our QVC birthday weekend and the atmosphere in the building was so buzzy!
Lots to look forward to this week, in particular I am very excited about this Saturday (8th October) as its Christmas lighting day with a wonderful Today’s Special Value. Other than the food, friends and family another thing I love about Christmas are the lights!
Then on Saturday into Sunday my friend and colleague Chloe is going to be launching the BIG Philosophy TSV and what a collection it is, you can see from the pics you get the eau de toilette, corresponding shower creme and then three more gorgeous Philosophy bathing products to really enough layering your fragrance. I love Pure Grace for its clean, soapy, fresh sheets fragrance that gently lingers all day – gorgeous!
Finally, I wanted to mention the Good Grief Trust – this is a charity started by my friend and QVC colleague Linda Magistris and for whom Debbie Flint is now a patron.
The Good Grief Trust aims to find every person in the UK who has lost someone close, through hospitals, hospices, Police, Registrar, Clergy, Funeral Director and signpost them to the UK’s first fully comprehensive new website (TheGoodGrief.com) for a wealth of services around Britain, offering a virtual hand of friendship in the early days and hope for the future. You can read more about Linda’s story and why she started this charity by watching her below on BBC Breakfast and by looking at www.facebook.com/thegoodgrieftrust or on Twitter @goodgrieftrust. She has just started ‘crowdfunding’ for the charity too, you can find the page at www.gofundme.com/thegoodgrieftrust.
