Pearls of wisdom

1

Hello all!

Hope you’re well. Okay so this may be a bit of a strange blog (that’ll be a first then!!). I have had a rather strange experience in the last few days and my head still feels rather fuzzy! So I had been having problems with a wisdom tooth for some time and finally decided to bite the bullet (not the dentist! Lol) and had it extracted four days ago! To take the edge off this experience (and because I’ll never be up go for the Victoria Cross in the “bravery at the dentist” department), I was given “something” to induce a state of calm and relaxation.

Well folks… it certainly worked!! I’ve only been awake about 9 hours in total since last Friday!!

Okay, maybe a slight exaggeration there, but honestly, I can’t keep my eyes open. Yesterday I sat down to read my emails at 1.15pm and woke up with my iPad in front of me at 4.45pm! Which is all just as well as it certainly takes your mind off an aching jaw!! I am at present having my hair coloured at the hairdressers (sorry I know you all thought it was natural ; ) ) My lovely hairdresser Luke, is keeping a close eye on me should I doze off under this heater… but this has been my first outing really.

Anyway all of the above got me thinking about the wisdom of wisdom teeth… and wisdom in general. So the dictionary definition of wisdom is “the quality of having experience, knowledge and good judgement, the quality of being wise”. Wisdom teeth develop on average between the ages of 17 and 25. Excuse me? 17 and 25? Which youngster do you know befits the above description of wisdom at that age? (or is that just the memory of my own personal experience ?) And another thing… (she’s off on a rant now!)… what’s the deal with the tooth fairy when it comes to your wisdom teeth? Finding a few pennies under your pillow later in life is surely a welcome experience, especially when I only ever spent mine on lollipops and gobstoppers anyway as a child. I’m not saying that it would pay the mortgage or anything but in the words of a well-known advert….”every little helps”!!

Anyway onwards and upwards, I am indeed looking forward to being on your screens this weekend with a bit of QVC variety as always. Amongst other things I have Ultrasun this Friday with the lovely Ms Cleeve and her pearls of wisdom regarding being safe in the sun. I just love my Glimmer and the tinted face and body products. I’m about to try a couple of newbies from the range (well new for me anyway) so I’ll let you know how I get on. I also have a delicious premiere food show at 6pm on Saturday!! So I’m sure that’ll be a busy one with all you “foodies” out there.

Remember always “wise” to get in early with your orders and remember the “wisdom” in our 30 day money back guarantee (sorry folks but just trying to stay within a theme here!!) Take care you lovely lot, and if you notice me chewing on the one side of my mouth during the food show on Saturday… well now you know why!!

Best go now… think I need a lie down again!! Lol ; ) Hopefully the sun is shining wherever you are!

Lots of love,

Anne xx

Hi Anne, you always manage to make us smile, and with you doing a delicious food hour I hope you will be Anne Gnaw-son and not Anne Sore-son. Happy Summer Solstice
