On lessening the look of pigmentation…

Liquid Gold Q: I'm a 25-year-old Asian girl, and have a problem with pigmentation around the chin and upper lip area. I have tried various creams with no effect – these areas look darker compared to my natural colour. Please can you help. Zara

A: You are going to love the Philosophy Believe in Miracles range which launches in September/October, and Alpha-H's Liquid Gold is going to be your most favourite product in the world. Use it three times a week, simply wiped onto cleansed skin in the evening and you can use it conjunction with your other skincare products.

I'd also suggest using a high factor sun cream. These areas will come up darker with the sun – with winter sun as well as summer sun – so they will be emphasised.

You can also try to keep the area extremely fine in its texture to stop your skin cells building up and looking darker. So, using something like dermabrasion once a month will help. For a daily solution, you can also try Micro Cleanse from Alpha-H.

I have a 16 year old son who is using the Liz Earle range of skincare ( cleanser, toner and skin repair light) It won’t be too long before he will start shaving. Please could you recommend some ranges or kits suitable for a beginner.
    thank you,
