On an effective eye routine…

Decleor Prolagene Gel A. Hi Alison, I use Decleor Prolagene Gel all over the face and eyes, Elemis Eye Absolute serum and Decleor Hydrotenseur serum for the eyes in this order. Is it ok to use a gel under a serum? Is the order I am using them in ok? Is it ok to use two serums together? I look forward to your response. Nicolette

Q. You don't necessarily need to use the Elemis Absolute Eye Serum or the Decleor Hydrotenseur Serum together, because it is a little bit of a product overload in the eye area.

You can use the Elemis eye serum everyday, but I'd suggest only using the Decleor serum as a month's booster.

The Prolagene Gel doesn't conflict with the Elemis or Decleor serum separately, but I'd say the Absolute Eye Serum, which works or darkness and feather lines, contradicts the Decleor Hydrotenseur because it does the same job.
So, I'd suggest the following routine:

  • Elemis Absolute Eye Serum
  • Decleor Prolagene Gel
  • Chosen moisturiser

If you feel your eyes going down hill, stop using the Elemis Serum and replace it with the Decleor Hydrotenseur Serum for a month.

Alison, Please can you advise on the best eye cream to use for tired eyes with black circles and my eye area seems quite dehyrated as any concealer I use to cover the dark circles just seems to sink into my skin.

    Hi Alison,
Please can you advise on the best eye cream for lines under the eyes? I’m not bothered with feather lines at the side but under the eyes, just above the cheek bone is quite bad with lines. I use Decleor serum and eye cream at the moment. I have also purchased Lulu’s Eye Balm – but have not used this yet. Thanks! Muriel (aged 51)

    Hi Alison,
I would love to know if I could stop my eyelids looking so crepey. I’m 38 and use Liz Earles eyebright followed by Decleors prolegene gel both day and night following the decleor balancing cleanser as my skin has a greasy t-zone. My eyelids are not dry but still crepey, what can I do to fix this?

    Hi Alison,
I’m in my early 30’s (33 to be exact) & have maintained a really good skin care routine my entire life using both Decleor & Elemis. Recently I have noticed that the fine lines in my lower eye area has started to deepen & appear more promiant. I have introduced Decleor’s hydra floral eye cream which has really helped to hydrate & reduce the feathery lines, but it isn’t touching the more promiant one’s. There is a multitude of eye products to choose from, but I don’t want anything too heavy or anti-ageing as it’s likely to cause irritation, hence usually sticking to gels/serums. Many thanks, Katie.

    Dear Alison,
I am 46 and have been using the Decleor range for just over a year. I use the Cleanser and toner, followed by Aromessence Neroli and then Hydrafloral moisturiser. I started using the Hydrotenseur serum to tackle fine lines under eyes and top of cheeks, but I’m not sure if this is strong enough. fantastic results until I stop and after 3-4 days, my eyes become very dry and more lined. Would the Hydra Floral eye mask be more efective for me or would you recommend using another brand?
I do hope you can advise me. Many thanks for your help.

    Hello Alison
My upper eye lids are looking very lined and I don’t know where to start as there are so many eye products. What do you recommend for serious results?
    Thank you
