Hi all! How lucky was I – I booked a few days off at the beginning of the month and enjoyed some beautiful early summer sunshine – don’t worry I was all Ultrasun’d up ! I’ve been back at work for a few days now but I find it’s good to recharge the batteries when I can.
I presented ‘The Lunchtime Show’ on Monday and Wednesday last week and as I mentioned in my last blog, I’m really enjoy the concept of these shows, have you managed to catch one yet? Continuing our #QVCLunch time show theme on Friday, I’m back again with Pipa and we’ll have the delightful indoor/outdoor porcelain flameless lantern featured as our TSV from Bella Notte it comes complete with batteries and a remote control that switches the light between a warm amber glow or colour changing cycle and a timer function. Great for your Summer barbecues or indoors during Winter. Our buyers have secured a great price under £25 plus P&P available in Ivory, Bronze, Green and Dove Grey – so it’s sure to be popular. This time of year is great for glimpsing wildlife and I’m particularly pleased I had my new camera to catch this shot of a magnificent Roebuck. Having a long reaching quality lens and knowing where to find wildlife obviously are factors, but there’s a lot of luck involved in being at the right place at the right moment and I was really pleased with the series of shots I captured of this handsome beast. For me, Roe are the most attractive of the deer, what they lack in stature, such as the mighty Red they make up for in refined facial features.
I’d like to thank you all for your kind comments regarding my pics, wildlife has been a longterm love affair for me and it’s so rewarding when you grab that fleeting opportunity, as so often you just miss it ! Unfortunately the photos used in my blog aren’t very high resolution because the original hi-res file sizes are huge, but it hopefully gives you a flavour.
Who knows what creature I’ll feature next week!
‘Till then take care and stay dry!
