When I'm off duty I like to dress down, wear no make and pay very little attention to my hair. Recently on holiday I got very used to this way of life. Despite being very relaxed in terms of appearance it's still important to keep on top of skincare and nail care.
These days I'm adamant with sun screen – I have developed good habits in this department, and now I wouldn't use anything other than Ultrasun high protection. The formulation is amazing, gives UVA/UVB cover, is easily absorbed and for less hassle you only need once a day application.
Another skincare holiday essential for me is Decleor BB cream, it's so hydrating, gives a hint of colour and blends to your skin tone no matter how dark you go, it also evens it the skin. I have found it not just superb for day times on holiday but right the way through the summer! If you want more coverage from it, my tip would be to mix it with your regular foundation, great for evening skin on holidays.
Where matters of nails are concerned, before working at QVC I didn't make much effort with my hands - in my former role close ups of my nails weren't required (thankfully, because they were dreadful). Now I understand the importance of looking after them, using the right products and the impact that can have on the quality of nail we can nurture. Splitting, weak, thin or cracked nails just won't grow! I know this because I'm a biter and I have suffered from problematic nails up until the last seven months.
Now, I couldn't recommend enough Leighton Denny Bio-Build Treatment! It's three easy steps to keep your nails in check or improve them: gel formula cleanser, treat with Nio-Build serum to fortify and shield to provide a waterproof protective barrier, easy. You can see it in action live on QVC and here from Leighton himself on Tuesday 6th August!
With nails you really get out what you put in. Before you go on a break, select your beauty essentials carefully, if you take care of your skin and nails, they will take care of you!
