O is for…

2

October (obviously).

However, it also seems…

O is for… old school

With a contemporary twist, in the form of British Barbers’ Association.

If you like your man to look good, whether that is bearded and tousled or clean-shaven and smooth as the proverbial, then our British Barbers’ Association selection has every eventuality, as well as every look, covered.

From haircare to shaving, skincare to styling – it’s all there in this comprehensive range.

All the products work really well, I know as I’ve tested a few of them myself, and – if you are a regular viewer – you’ll know I like to present myself (or at least I hope I do) as clean shaven, with styled hair and looking like I’ve made an effort with my appearance.

My grooming is exceptionally important to me, it always has been. I am not one of those guys who can pull off the unshaven, sexy look (regrettably); I just look untidy. As a result, I need products that can smooth out all the edges for a sharp result, but I need to do them quickly, easily and without any fuss!

The packaging carries on this unfussy feel to the range, so no man ever need feel embarrassed taking these out of their gym bag.

The whole range has a really ‘old school’ feel to it, with some modern twists like Shaving Oil, Shave Cream and Shave Butter – as opposed to a shave foam. All of these offer elements of skincare, containing vitamins A and E, as well as anti-inflammatory benefits and a smooth shaving surface.

Trust me, any man, young or old, will enjoy using these.

O is for… oh my goodness!

This is because the wonderful team at Liz Earle are bringing us The Complete Botanical Beauty Gift this Sunday 22nd November as a Today’s Special Value.

It’s a six-piece collection that contains not only your iconic three-piece cleanse, tone and moisturise routine, but also the limited edition floral-scented Cleanse and Polish Rose and Cedrat, as well as the Rosemary and Rock Rose Botanical Body Wash and Body Cream (it smells amazing – I’ve been a fan of the Liz Earle Rock Rose fragrance for some time!). If all that is not enough, you also get an exclusive beauty bag too!

Inspired by nature, this set will really help you to reveal your autumnal glow!

O is for… others

Thinking of others, as well as helping others.

My gorgeous colleague and friend Ali Keenan has been doing exactly that with her ‘I Hope’ range.

If you haven’t seen it yet, please do check it out, there’s the signature ‘I Hope’ pendant, a second similar pendant but with a simulated diamond at the top available in rose gold-plating too, and a pair of gorgeous drop earrings.

The range helps to raise money and awareness for an insidious disease, that regrettably affects so many women in all of our lives; be they friends, sisters, mothers, daughters. It doesn’t matter who they are, the fact is they are out there fighting together and supporting each other, and we can be part of that.

Ali said her inspiration very much came, not just her own personal experiences but talking to others that have been affected and hearing the words of hope that are often used.

It’s also Breast Cancer Awareness month and QVC have proudly been supporting the Breast Cancer Care charity for some time now. As well as Ali’s own ‘I Hope’ range, there are lots of other items available on our website, from jewellery to fashion accessories and beauty products, to help raise funds and awareness please do take a moment to check them out here.

Whatever October brings you, whether it’s overcast skies, hurricane Ophelia or anything else beginning with O, I hope it’s a good one for you.

Until next time,
Miceal xxxx
