Benefit 2 Piece They're Real Mascara and Gimme Brow - 206547

November’s Beauty Pick from Benefit

November’s product of the month is perfect timing for the party season.  Just as our faces are being swallowed up coming into (for all ethnicities) our palest months, the definity of the brow and the lashes is crucial to give a lifted and more wide-awake look to the face of both young and old. Add to that, with party season or times when we wish to appear more glamourous, a strong look to your lashes and brows helps to complete a fashion make-up.

Benefit are famous the world over for innovative problem solving make-up products and if you’ve never tried They’re Real Mascara, take confidence in the fact that it is the UK’s number one premium-selling mascara (at time of writing this) so if you haven’t discovered it, then it’s certainly worth trying.

Benefit 2 Piece They're Real Mascara and Gimme Brow - 206547

With this mascara, it’s all about a combination of the brush and the formula and even when you apply the mascara in the normal manner, you can feel the balance and the firmness of the brush with almost a spring action that really helps to tease out and separate every lash. You can actually feel it working!  Then, there is an end applicator where you famously ‘go vertical’ to push the lashes up higher and longer which is also brilliant if you are wanting to emphasise inner lashes and outer lashes which will make your eyes look bigger and wider.

When we launched They’re Real Mascara, just like the high street, we kept selling out and it’s the same with the Gimme Brow.

You may remember that we had Gimme Brow before the high street and it was the first brow pigment/fibre/brush/volumiser that even the make-up novice could use. The great thing about this product is that it comes in a shade to suit you. You start by brushing from the outside of the brow in, concentrating or only applying where your brows are palest or weakest and then brush back into place. If you want a natural look, do this with a clean brow brush or for a stronger look, use the residue left on the Gimme Brow brush. This special formula looks as if you have weaved more hairs or applied a mini brow toupee that makes you look like you have stronger and thicker, more defined hairs.

It’s definitely easier and less skill is required than say, brow pigments or pencils and it does give a natural enough look to use, even on less made-up days. But, for going out or high fashion you can build the look up or go to your pigments and pencils to create more structure and definition if required.

At this time of year, thinking of Christmas gifting, especially with free P&P, this would be a very high-end, high fashion, trendy, multi award-winning and internationally famous make-up brand that could be bought for teenagers to 70 and 80 year olds.  It might be worth having a closer look at your friends’ and familys’ brows and ordering early so that you get the correct colour choice for them.

Good afternoon, a little request please for Alison Young. Recently on QVC they had one of their Gale Hayman hours and one of the items advertised was the Gale Hayman 5 piece Lip Perfection Collection with bag, item number 207 206. In this collection they had a lipstick called Pink Champagne, which I bought {a few in fact} a long time ago and I saw that this was one of the lipsticks in this collection.

I have obtained this collection, mainly due to the fact that the Pink Champagne lipstick is in the collection. The other lipsticks will also be put to good use I hasten to add. Quite some time ago, I did get in touch with Customer Services to see if I could obtain this lipstick from you, but was informed that it wasn’t stocked by you at that present time, so couldn’t obtain it.

I was enquiring to see if there is any chance at all that this item will ever be stocked as a stand alone item to be purchased at QVC UK. I have been on the Gale Hayman website and this lipstick is stocked singularly for $15.00. On checking the international shipping cost, it would cost $29.95 to ship over to England and as I wanted to order more than 1, would make it very costly.

I see on the Gale Hayman site for QVC UK, they stock Pink Splendour {202 793} in a duo for £24:00. Would it be at all possible to stock the Pink Champagne in the same format or singularly, or has there never been much call for this colour, though I haven’t seen it advertised on Gale Hayman hours for some time?

Thank you so much for your time and trouble.

Very best wishes from an ardent QVC customer, or as my late husband said QVC stood for Quick Val’s Coming.

    Kind regards

    Val Dolphin

Alison can you tell me which body lotions do not contain parabens. I know there are some companies still using small amounts, but I want a totally paraben free. Favourite brands are, L’Occitane, Gatineau, Elemis, SBC, Decleor, but if there are any other paraben free ones I would be grateful to know about them, and obviously if my favourite brands have them. Many thanks.
