No time for the January blues

8

Firstly, I want to say a very belated happy new year and I cannot believe we are already at the end of January. I adore Christmas and always loathe taking down my Christmas tree. I always hold out for as long as possible but of course the deadline is 6th January and, yes, I left it until that final hour.

We saw 'Ghost: The Musical' on Boxing Day and it was fantastic, and yes I blubbed like you wouldn't believe. I tried to hold back but, when everyone else started, I just couldn't hold it back. We are going to see 'Noises Off' and 'One Man, Two Guvnors' this month too as both shows have had amazing reviews.
Any shows I have missed that you loved let me know.

I was due to move home in December and take a holiday in January but no surprise that it didn't quite go to plan. My holiday was actually time well spent doing a huge clear out throughout the house. I did really well and it was so easy until I started on my collection of shoes and handbags, then I went into melt down. They went in and out of the charity boxes like yo-yos but I took a deep breath and went for it and the charity shops were very grateful for my givings. So, of course, I need new ones now to add to my collection.

I came back to QVC for the launch of the PRAI Today's Special Value and the fabulous Beauty Bash that QVC holds every January. I was amazed that my nails were still intact after my marathon clear out. We had a fabulous time at the bash and so much fun. It was so lovely to meet everyone and thank you so much for all your wonderful, kind comments. It was great to see all our beauty brands together.

Before I knew it, it was 6.30pm and I was in a taxi with Alison Young and her very sore feet (from her to-die-for shoes that she had bought for the bash). I was carefully carrying a box of chocolate cupcakes that a very talented viewer had made and given to Alison. They were sitting on my lap and I just couldn't resist. Oh my gosh they were simply scrumptious.

Today the big move began as I picked up the keys to our new house and I am truly the luckiest girl in the world as our seller is a truly beautiful girl inside and out. A stunning bouquet of flowers was waiting to welcome us into our new home. We got on so well, from the moment we viewed the beautiful house that she has actually built from scratch with so much love and passion. We actually spent all our time liasing with  each other rather than the estate agent.

I can't wait to have a bath in my beautiful William Shank free-standing bath with scrolled feet that looks fit for a princess, whilst Larry cooks on the Aga! Yes, I will leave that to him. I don't want to call out the fire brigade just yet, god help me!

We are looking forward to settling in with Scruncher and Mr B as I know they will love it and then we will take a break to the USA. Lots to do before then but I feel like I am on a roller coaster that doesn't want to stop.

Before I go away, I can't wait to bring you Diane Gilman's lastest Today's Special Value offers, that I will launching on Saturday 11th February. Fab fab fab jegging, legging jeans. Plus keep your eyes peeled for special offers coming up soon from Kim & Co, Bibi Bijoux and Liz Earle.

Sending you all my love and boxes galore!

Jill

    Hi Jill,
Wow..your new house sounds delightful and I hope you and your boys will be happy there. Its really stressful moving..I have been trying to sell my cottage in Dorset for the last six months without success. Have to say I don’t blame you liasing with the vendor, I have had enough of dealing with estate agents!
Know what you mean about trying to prune through belongings..I am trying to do the same without much success..I will have to be more brutal!
Hope the ‘move in’ goes well and you enjoy that super new bath!
    Lots of love

    Hi Jill
I am intrigued…you always seem to be moving house!! May I ask is there a reason for this, or do you just get bored?
Your new house sounds lovely – lucky girl.

Much happiness in your new home and hope the dogs settle quickly.Everyone from QVC seems to have moved recently-Julia , Claire—any more? It is so scarey moving-esp if you find THE house and then wait so nervously, hoping it doesn’t all fall through.God bless and have fun filling those spaces up with new-buys.

Hi Jill, do you mind me asking only I am curious as you seem to move house very often. I remember you telling of the ‘Narnia’ house you saw when viewing houses last time…or the time before…sounded lovely though.

    Hello Jill,
I watched the Lola Rose TSV recently, and loved the taupe nail polish you were wearing.
I phoned Customer Services for the colour and brand name, but they could not help.
Please can I have the details.
    Many Thanks
