Presenting Lola Rose on QVC is always so exciting for me though, as I get such a buzz seeing my new designs (hopefully!) being well received.
We've been designing like crazy over the last couple of months so I'm hoping you are all going to really enjoy the next couple of shows that are coming up for us.
The inspiration behind my autumn/winter 2010 collection was simply glamour, drama and opulence. I wanted to encourage the feeling of getting dressed up, feeling good about ourselves and going out for an evening with a friend or loved one and having a fab time.
Saying that, I can't remember the last time I did manage to do that, as leaving little Freddie at home these days is getting even harder. I'm sure though that as Christmas approaches I will have more incentive!
My aim when designing the pieces for the Lola Rose collection is to create something that will make us all feel good about ourselves, and bring a smile or even a giggle when mixing and matching the array of clashing colours!
During the show I'll be bringing back my Dandelion Necklace, this time in brand new colourways. I chose this piece because it really takes me back to my childhood when we used to blow the seeds off the dandelion in order to tell the time; the game was called 'dandelion clocks', and we would play it for hours. Oh such lovely, gorgeous memories for me!
The new colourways being featured in this style is the warm Ivory Jasper and the delicious Terracotta. In the Ivory this necklace evokes a vintage classic style and would look fantastic with all the neutral fashion we are being teased with for the upcoming winter season.
The Terracotta is almost alive and dancing in the sun and would instantly lift any outfit. Both new colourways I think suit this piece very well and it is such a versatile style, that you could wear this necklace for a lifetime and it would never date. It is simple yet pretty and I hope will bring a smile to your face every time you wear it.
I look forward to showing you all of our new pieces during my show at 1pm on Friday 17th September.
Tune in at 1pm on Friday 17th September to see Nikki
