New year beauty tips from Decleor’s beauty expert

Fiona Brackenbury Hi everyone, it's Fiona Brackenbury from Decleor here.

The excitement of Christmas and New Year is well and truly over, but I'm sure our bodies and complexions are still showing signs of excess or effects of the harsh, cold weather.

I've put together some beauty tips to help tackle those January blues and bring a glow back to your skin. Enjoy!

January is the month to…

Make a clean sweep
Decleor Cleanse & Tone Duo - 224595 Cleansing and toning are two of the most important things you can do for your skin. A good cleanser removes grime and impurities for a clearer, brighter complexion, while a balanced toner leaves skin fresh, smooth and ready for moisturising. So make your number one beauty resolution to give skin a fresh start with our skin-boosting basics. It’s the best start you can give to your skin this new year.

Rescue post-party skin
Decleor Aromessence Neroli Face Oil - 213611 After weeks of partying and general festive over indulgence, detox your complexion and give skin a kick-start into 2011.

Facial massage is a quick and easy way to stimulate blood flow and bring more oxygen and nutrients to skin cells; it also helps flush out impurities along the way. Applying a few golden drops of Aromessence to your fingertips first will help fingers glide over skin making your massage that much more relaxing, pleasurable and effective.

Perfect your neck
Decleor Excellence De L'age Neck & Decollete Cream - 229386 During the colder months (and after weeks of hiding in cosy polo necks) it’s all too easy to forget that skin below your jawline also craves attention. Lavish it with the care it deserves using Decléor’s latest addition to the anti-ageing collection – new Excellence De L’age Neck and Décolleté Concentrate.

Luxurious and highly effective, this serum combines four essential oils, wheat and argan proteins and vitamin C to help smooth and lift this delicate zone. Non-greasy and quickly absorbed, it will even help to fade tell-tale dark spots. Pure pampering in a bottle.

De-stress while you detox
Decleor Alguaromes with System Corps - 226702 Following a frantic Christmas and New Year we’re sure that by now you’ll be more than ready to take some time out and wind down. One of the best ways to chill out has always been with a long soak in the bath.

Get double benefits from your rest and relaxation time by adding 2-3 capfuls of our toning shower and bath gel, Alguaromes, to running water for the ultimate in marine therapy at home.

Containing algae extract, famed for its ability to detoxify and revitalise, this invigorating gel gently foams to neutralise the effects of hard water while rosemary, lemon and marjoram essential oils help purify and stimulate to help rid your body of unwanted toxins. Exactly what’s needed at this time of year!

    Hi Fiona,
I’m 34 years old and been using Decleor since I was in my early 20’s. At the moment I’m only using vitoroma ageing cream with Neroli oil and of course cleanse and tone.
Shall I start using more ageing products?
Also I do suffer from puffy eyes and have used quite a few eye creams, which one is the best for me?
    Many thanks
    Sarah

Hi Fiona, Spending a lovely day watching your programmes. I am a recent convert to Decleor having bought the last TSV – Hydrating Floral Collection. I have noticed a difference in my skin already. I am 66 and my biggest problem is my hooded eyelids. With this in mind, can I ask if I can use the arromescence from the Hydra Floral on my eyelids. Also with Todays Special Value, can I use the Prolegene Gel and or the arromescence on my eyelids. I realise my eyelids are not going to get any better the older I get but would like to give it a good try with the right products which would maybe firm up the skin a little.Having said that I have noticed a big difference to the texture of my facial skin already. Would be really pleased for any recommendations you may be able to make. Thankyou for your invaluable advice during the Decleor Shows.

Love Decleor products, my skin really does look better having started using the facial oils, I use Neroli and Iris depending how my skin looks, the Neroli really does contain breakouts on my chin! I love the Hydra Floral, Prolagene, Hydrotenseur for eyes, wonderful nothing else works so well on my puffy eyes, my problem with it is I have to keep using it as nothing else works as soon as I stop using it I am back to puffy closed eyes! I use the Body lotion Hand cream and would say to anyone give Decleor a try you’ll wonder how you managed beforehand!

Hi Fiona Thanks for all your fantastic tips and advice. I love Decleor and have ordered the TSV. I would say I am equally concerned about lines and wrinkes as well as firmness ( I am 57 years old). I have products from both the Iris/Experience and the Excellence ranges. Can you tell me how to combine or alternate the two.

    Hi Fiona
Many thanks for the excellent TSV. At one point with Julia she commented you were horrified at the thought of using tissues rather than wet cotton wool to remove products. Can you please explain why, because it seems I’ve been going wrong.
    Love
    Fiona

    Hi Fiona
I agree with Nicola (above comment). If you had done easy pay on yesterday’s TSV, I would have gone for THREE instead of ONE.
Just LOVE Decleor. I am using the ENTIRE Excellence range and my skin surface and texture is now just AMAZING, after just two weeks. I was using Gatineau and Elemis before, but have not seen results like I am now achieving using the Decleor Oils, balms and Creams. Honestly, there is NO comparison. When I feel my face…Wow!! When I applied my make up last night, it just went on AMAZING – and actually looked airbrushed! I am no spring chicken, so this is simply incredible. I can’t see myself moving away from Decleor for a very long time.
Please remember Fiona…..please arrange easy pays AND….. DUO SETS of oils, balms, Creams and the Lip Balm, as I am sure you will get more sales this way – and give us what we want.
I do hope you pass our opinions on to the relevant “bods” at Decleor!! and – many, many thanks to you for your valued advice and guidance.
