Reaquainting myself with fab brands and getting pampered…

One of the nicest things about coming back onto QVC is reacquainting myself with old brands and old pals. I particularly can’t wait to meet up again with the lovely ladies Tova, Joan Rivers, and Liz Earle, whose skincare I've continued to use for most of the last nine years I’ve been away from QVC!

However, now I’m back I’ve been put on a schedule of catch-ups, training with the various brands – it’s very hectic but I'm loving it! (Some of the training and behind-the-scenes catch-ups, I’ll ask the guys to put up on our new Facebook page – more about that next week!)

I have been specially impressed so far with the nails ranges – ProStrong being the one that’s helping my nails improve at the moment – and of course some of the impressive hair and skincare brands! Gosh, it’s such a joy to be able to find out about so many premium ranges. Philip Kingsley joined me in the shower last week (!) and the comments I got about the shine on my hair that day were amazing. We also go out of our way to find out more about the products for you. And it’s often more of a pleasure than I expected it to be!

On Tuesday, I took a trip to Windsor to see Michaela and do some training for Gatineau. The depth of research that goes into that brand, honestly it’s amazing. I only wish the rules were different about what you can say on TV about how things work and why. The training school has a proper salon and Michaela kindly gave me a lovely treat too. My skin looked wonderful later that day, even if I was a bit spaced out for the rest of the day having had such a lovely relaxing treat!

But the best thing is, especially with collections like this Sunday’s (8th Nov) TSV, you can get the Gatineau feeling in your own home, do your own intensive treatments and save a fortune compared to elsewhere! It's so nice to be able to use products that give great results and to have access to such fabulous advice.

If you want to see Michaela in action, or revisit some of Ali Young’s advice don’t forget to try out the multi-screen option via the red button on your remote and choose Beauty Channel. Or if you switch over to QVC one day and have just missed your favourite hour, you can always press the ‘plus one’ button and watch it all over again!

You never used to be able to do that in the old days, when I was here before. Talking of which, I’m searching the archives to see if I can come up with a couple more bloopers for you – ones I’m allowed to show anyway! Check back each week to find out more!

Have a lovely bonfire night celebration if you haven’t already, and I’ll catch up with you next week!

Best wishes

    Hi Debbie,
Glad to hear you are having a great time back at QVC.
One of my favourite beauty brands at QVC is OPI – I especially love their nail envy. A few years ago I faithfully followed the regime of putting it on every other day etc for a few months and then for going on holiday treated myself to my first ever manicure and french polish with the local nail technician. My nails by that time were so long and strong that the girl actually asked me if they were false nails.
I still use it to keep my nails healthy although I make jewellery as a hobby now and dont let them grow as long (it makes picking up small beads too fiddly!) Great stuff !!!
Best wishes to you and all at QVC x

    Hi Debbie
I was so surprised to see you back and so pleased. I remember years ago watching you with Tony Blackburn seeing in the New Year. Even my husband enjoyed that show! Hope you stay for a long while. You and Julia (and now Pipa and Charlie as well)were always my faves. Ive been with QVC since the beginning as well – my first purchase was a jewellery box by Joy Mang???? which rolled open and closed.
