Loose stem faux flowers from Peony

Hi everyone!

Well, spring has sprung at last. It’s been a chilly one but the sun is making more of an appearance and the daffodils have been brightening many a cold garden across the land. Have you noticed the beautiful little snowdrops coming through, too? Flowers in the springtime are little harbingers of happiness. There’s a special coral pink rose in my garden which I can’t wait to see in full bloom again.

Flowers are a very traditional gift for just about any occasion. They celebrate new life, weddings, birthdays and they even help us to convey our feelings to others at sadder times when words aren’t enough. There’s certainly a time and a place for fresh cut flowers. Having said that, they do come at quite a price and don’t last very long. There are the other issues too, such as having to change the water, the smell of stagnant water after a few days, the tide mark inside the vase which can be hard to get rid of and the fact that there are some cut flowers which can stain furniture and carpets or even harm your pets. Well, we at QVC have a solution…

As we all know, there’s no gift like that of everlasting floral beauty. We know our customers love Peony and love to give their stunning arrangements as gifts to family and friends. They are the only faux flower company to receive the seal of approval from The Royal Horticultural Society as they are so true to life. They even, famously, fooled Alan Titchmarsh who bent down to smell them when they were displaying at The Chelsea Flower Show, thinking they were real flowers!

A new bouquet shop is launching on QVCUK.com especially for online shoppers from the April 1st (no joking!) all-year round. The web shop will feature several bouquet options covering a range of prices from around £20 – £45, all carefully wrapped in cellophane so they are ready to give.

We will also offer a choice of beautiful vases so that you can complete the look, adding a finishing touch to this special present or simply creating the perfect bespoke arrangement for your own home. The idea is simple – just select your bouquet and order through our website and it will arrive at the recipient’s address (or your own) 5 – 7 days later.

We have really focussed on our customer favourites and have created our bouquets so there is something for everyone. The options will be:

  • Roses
  • Peonies
  • Hydrangeas
  • Dahlias
  • Rose and wisteria
  • Anemonies

For around the same price you’d pay for a freshly-cut bouquet which will only last weeks (at best), you can have the joy, excitement and beauty of the real thing but with the added bonus of never having to throw them out! Better still, ours come backed by a 30 day money back guarantee.

I was given the opportunity to show these bouquets to friends and family and their reactions have been lovely! They can’t believe how real they look and have said they’ll be using the service for events they’d normally pay a fortune at the florists for. Some had seen them on the TV before but said that didn’t do them any justice at all. They were very impressed to say the least.

So, remember, these beauties will be available to buy from the next Friday on the web and can be easily be found on the Home and Kitchen homepage. Stunning, aren’t they?

Do you have Peony in your home? What do you think of this new service? Please feel free to comment below.

Lots of love,

Catherine xxx

What a brilliant idea I have told my son and my husband not to buy flowers any more because of late we have been disappointed but now I will still be able to receive beautiful flowers. Thank you.

    Hi Catherine,
Yes I have several arrangements from Peony, I love them. Even my husband said the other day how lovely the orchid was, as I had moved them round and he had not noticed this one before. I said it is not real, he said what do you mean not real, could not believe it.
The new service for Peony bouquets sounds great, ideal for sending to friends and families for special occasions or even a thank you present.
I only buy real flowers occasionally now that I have the Peony

Hope your gorgeous pussy cats are well.

    Love Jean XX

Excellent idea. I have plenty vases and while I admire most of the Peony arrangements and have quite a few of them I will be happy to buy flowers which I can put in my own vases.

Love Peony, have the new spring bouquet and vase, have two of the Peony Roses in the glass vase, one white, one blush, a little cream jug with lavender and a small glass jug filled with pink roses. Also bought Roses at Christmas and the one rose in a white glass cube which came with the peony spray, absolutely gorgeous. These were for gifts. Just love the Spring bouquet in the gorgeous large vase.
