New beauty for September – part one

Percy & Reed Eau My Goodness Spray - 204338September sees the launch of some fabulous new beauty products. Here's a little preview of what you can expect this month. Make sure you check back as there is more to come!

Percy & Reed

Percy & Reed with their current CW 2013 award for Beauty Insiders Choice have a new launch – it’s called ‘Oh My Goodness Shine and Fragrance Spray’.

As you may or may not know, Percy and Reed is not just a brand but a culmination of Adam Reed and Paul Percival’s creative work and lifetime passion for the artistry of hair design. They each do their own session work for magazines, celebrities, designers and are particularly hot in the music world.

They have two go-to salons in London where other stylists who are also top in their field crave to work and train further with them. So, when they launch a product they are passionate about, they are not just looking at the fashion finish of your hair but caring about the long term condition with skincare quality ingredients.

Their latest invention shows their complete commitment to our crowning glory and a modern approach to the image that we want to create – that we appear healthy and smell gorgeous and that’s exactly what they have done in a bottle. A lightweight spray, that doesn’t weigh down and catches the light for even natural or artificial hair colour, that gives this amazing and beautiful hair fragrance which is revived every time you move, touch or brush your hair prolonging this glamorous image.

This product will become a new handbag hero and will be even more craved during the winter months when our frazzled hair needs all the help it can get.

OPI Fungus Fix 204120OPI Fungus Fix
This product is back by popular demand from OPI, who although on-air showcase mainly their manicure and retail products, globally, run the largest professional nail technician schools in over 100 Countries.

They specialise in all types of nail enhancement and natural nail work and after training the technicians, they supply them with all the technical products they need on the trolley to service any manicure and pedicure problem.

Fungus Fix is a clinically tested nail serum to combat any form of nail infection or nail problem. So, how do you know you need it?

If you have on either finger or toe nails, flaking, which is more like nail crumbling, or the nail looks discoloured in areas – ie: a darker shade of cream or yellow or it could be you are getting a powdery dry, or a moist weeping area underneath or at the side of the nail or between natural and false nails.

Basically you are looking at an area that looks unhealthy and seems to be persistently so. Then Fungus Fix is applied twice a day to the area by dropping it on but not touching so that you are not contaminating the bottle or, if easier, dropping onto a cotton bud and pressing it onto the area. Do not use the same cotton bud more than once because of contamination.

In tests and with the salon technicians, results have been seen within two to three weeks but a professional tip would be, if you have got a nail infection, then treat all of your fingers and toes, even the ones that don’t have the problem because it is a contagious condition and it will be easier and more thorough and prevent future problems. Once the nails are looking healthy again, you do not need to continue use. You can just put the lid on and save it for another time.

Revitalash Advanced Conditioner - 200285Revitalash Try Me kit
It’s very exciting to have, for the first time, a ‘Revitalash Try Me’ collection. For existing viewers, you are going to love this kit in smaller sizes (which is easier for travel) to continue the results that tens of thousands of viewers have seen in the UK on the look and length of their lashes and their brows for the last couple of years since we launched this.

For new customers it’s a great way to introduce a daughter, partner or friend to Revitalash, and could be an ideal Christmas gift at a more affordable price. In the kit it’s got clever, double-ended containers. One with your lash and brow conditioner and one containing your primer and mascara. The most important products are the lash and brow conditioners which are the ones that give the ‘wow’ results.

They are applied just once a day. The trick is to always make sure it is onto clean, dry skin so that the formula is not watered down or blocked from being absorbed into and onto the hair. The easiest way to do this is to either, on a night after you have cleansed and removed all make-up, leave the skin and the eye area to dry for a couple of minutes and then put a coat on before your skincare products. Or, if you prefer, you can apply it in the morning onto dry skin, a few minutes before you put your moisturisers and make-up on.

Results will not be seen immediately as both of these products are working on the hair of either the brow or the lash and therefore it needs daily application so that it can be absorbed to continue to improve the condition and strength of the hair – during which process you should find you get less fall out because the hairs are strong enough to withhold mascara, abuse etc.

Within the 30-day money back guarantee you should be able to see a lengthened lash that is needing less mascara. Do not worry if you are not seeing as quicker result on the brow because the brow can take six to eight weeks to really see a result.

The primer and the mascara may work best once you have seen results from the lash formula so if you prefer to use, to begin with, your favoured brand that gives you the thickness and definition you need on a shorter lash, you will probably find after the first month that you then love using the ‘Revitalash Primer and Mascara’ as you have more lashes to work with.

Wild About Beauty Eye pencilsWild about Beauty
Following on from the success of the ‘Try Me’ collection developed by Louise Redknapp and her make-up artist Kim, we have the launch of the ‘Eye Shadow Pencils’. In the ‘Try Me’ this was a favourite product as it was so quick and easy to create a natural and blendable shadow and liner result even by blending with fingertips for the make-up novice.

Now, Wild about Beauty have a wider range of colours to suit different skin tones for different levels of drama that you wish to achieve. For example: ‘Charlie’, gives a really soft, brown liner with a champagne, creamy shadow pencil. This is going to be favoured by paler skin or natural looks during the winter months.

‘Beau’ is a brown duo with a hint of bronze so it allows more definition because of the light reflection in both the pencil and the liner. Marjorie’, the second deepest is about smoky greys with a silvery, pewter tone. A softer and easier version of black. For fashionistas, for evening or for full definition on darker skin tones, drama can be achieved with ‘Maeve’ a wet, shiny looking intense black shadow with a jet black liner.

These are easy make-up solutions on the go and great to keep in your make-up bag to quickly add a little bit of extra drama or definition as the day goes on.

Check back later this month for more new beauty.

Hope QVC will bring in IT Cosmetics soon from the US. Seems to be a great success on QVC US, and having tried it I think the best foundations and lip balms ever.

    Hi Alison,
I am 41 and have what I believe to be rosacae. I tend to redden at any heat, stress or exertion. I have very fair skin and angry red pustules on my cheeks. I love my beauty products, and have used many over the years including all qvc’s top brands, I’m a bit of a beauty addict. I am now trying alpha again balancing cleanser and liquid gold, is this the best choice? I don’t know what to use on the other nights and as a daily moisturizer. I don’t have particularly dry skin but it can feel tight on the cheeks during the colder weather. I do have the expected light wrinkles beginning to appear round eyes lips and forehead. Please help?

What can I use to tackle pigmentation and really bad uneven skin tone please. I have tried alpha h but all it’s done is given me smooth face. The dark spots are still visible.
