Typically it was pouring with rain as soon as we were done (we being me and my very important little bridesmaid!).
Someone very kind grabbed us a taxi to take us to Marylebone station where we caught our Warwickshire bound train, upon which I am typing this quick little blog ahead of our big day!
I think we are pretty on course; the garden is ready to be dressed once the rain stops later this afternoon. My final meringue base is in the oven (this one chocolate… I made it rather huge and didn’t realise it expands when cooking, we had a near disaster but I think it’ll be ok).
Nails are done (OPI Alpine White). Paper chains and pom-poms to be made this evening after the rehearsal at the church with our best people and their families.
We also need to hang all our cafe style lights (thanks Gill Gauntlett), put out all the bales of straw currently hiding from the rain (thanks Bev) and then the bouncy castle is coming at 10am tomorrow (that’s the bit the children are most excited about I think!)
So something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue all sorted. The children are wired with excitement, (I’m hoping they don’t peak too early), husband-to-be is as cool as a cucumber – busy making thousands of ice cubes and all is well as we sit on the train heading home from London.
See you all on the other side. I’m on air for just one day 4th August after our honeymoon and before our familymoon, then back early September.
Take care, enjoy the sunshine and thank you for your masses of warm wishes!
