We raised over £10,000 for Garden Re-Leaf

Pirate shipEarlier this year, in March, QVC were proud to support the national Garden Re-Leaf charity day by broadcasting two special fundraising shows.

Thanks to the generosity of our suppliers and viewers, the shows raised £11,000 for the Greenfingers charity who create magical gardens for children's hospices.

QVC gardening expert Richard Jackson discovered that this magnificent sum of money has made a huge difference when he attended the official opening of the gardens earlier this month, at the Robin House Children’s Hospice, Balloch near Glasgow.

Garden areasFour amazing garden areas have been created for the hospice by the charity using the money raised by the Garden Re-Leaf day as well as industry and trust donations.

Our QVC fundraising helped to build a wonderful play garden which features a wheelchair roundabout, a play house and a fantastic two storey wooden pirate ship!

The opening ceremony was performed by Richard together with Lesley Watson, presenter of BBC Scotland's The Beechgrove Garden.

Richard told us that 'It was heart warming to see the children and their families enjoying the gardens so much, and I was proud that our QVC fundraising has been put to such good use'
