Hello! Well as I write this it's very wet, windy and blustery! I hope you're managing to stay safe and well during this turbulent weather.
This week's blog starts off with revealing last weeks mystery picture. It was a close up of the Bamix resting in its holder on the stand! Sorry if it was too tricky!
This week's picture (right) is another close up. The clue, to help you out a little…. it isn't a product on QVC. In fact this is something we'll never sell!
I've a few days off now as it's half term. We're staying at home and I have plenty of wonderful walks lined up with Misty and Bramble. Also, I haven't been to the cinema for a while and have the urge to lounge with a big bucket of popcorn to crunch on! Any film suggestions?
I'm also expecting a few QVC deliveries. I placed a number of orders over the weekend. Predominantly EasiYo. My favourite being Greek 'n' Coconut – oh it's delicious! The irony is I'm not a huge fan of coconut but the balance and blend is perfect with real coconut pieces! Can't wait. I also ordered it on behalf of Alison Young (I seem to have become her personal shopper!) along with a yoghurt maker too.
You know how I love my food. Well, presenting a whole hour of EasiYo with our delightful guest Jilly is a real perk of the job. I have an unwritten contract with most of our kitchen guests…they do the talking and demonstrating while I do the eating! It seems a fair trade doesn't it?!
While on air with Jilly, Ali Young gate crashed the show and was tucking in left, right and centre! I've never known her to be so quiet on air! It was a lot of fun.
Destination Gems is taking its winter break now as we bring you our exciting Christmas schedule. Thank you so much for being part of the series. Hopefully it'll be back in 2014 with some new and very exciting designs we're working on. I'll let you know more as soon as we have confirmation on the new pieces!
Looking at my schedule. I'm back on air this Monday 4th November with Michele Hope at 3pm. Also, if you're missing your gems I have Premier Tanzanite, Wednesday 6th November at 5pm, then a special Kim & Co anniversary show at 8pm.
Are you on twitter yet? It's a lot of fun. I'll keep you up to date with as much as I can on what's happening at QVC. Also the antics, mischief and mayhem of Misty and Bramble are regularly posted. To be honest, there are days when they tend to dominate the tweets more than anything else!
My twitter is @mecharliebrook
See you soon and take care,
