My week…

3

Toby on his walk Thanks for all your comments – especially regarding Toby.

I’ve had a relatively quiet week, my back is holding up well and I’m still using the 'Back Magic' I mentioned in my last blog. I think using any new equipment, particularly fitness equipment, takes a little conscious effort at first – you have to make yourself use it in an organised fashion, at a certain time on a certain day.

The hope is that you’ll incorporate it into your routine, or if you don’t have one – it might spur you on to create one! If you see quick results you’re much more likely to continue to use it – the hardest times are when the changes are gradual and that can really test your resolve. I’d be lying if I said that I use all my exercise equipment all the time, but it’s never too late to start it up again.

It’s hard to believe that Toby is five months old now. He’s getting quite big now and putting on a lot of weight. My wife Tracey wants him to stop where he is size-wise, but I think he’ll grow another two or three inches yet.

He is thriving and loves going for a walk – particularly as he thinks every human he meets wants to hug him! I know some of you say you would like to, but you may not say that after he has been on a long muddy walk!

I’m looking forward to Silver day on Saturday the 15th April – I’m presenting the final three hours with Julia, and it’ll be nice if you can join us.

Love Dale x

I would love to hug Toby even if he was thick with mud – after all its only dirt and would wash off.

Hi Dale, it’s great to hear about your puppy Toby, he’s beautiful. The picture of him with you in the snow is lovely. We had a Bearded Collie called Daisy for 12 years and she loved the snow too. She was rescued by our son-in-law from a terrible home situation, he intended to take her to a dogs home but couldn’t do it, brought her here instead and well, one look at her little face and that was it, she was ours. Unfortunately she died in 2007. She was a real character, loved people (except the postman/woman!) We had so much fun with her as did our grandchildren. We say we won’t have another one but who knows ……
Please keep us posted about Toby.
    Kind regards, Shirley, West Midlands

Dale, muddy paws don’t bother me, am well used to it having had dogs all my life. As always, Toby’s adorable. My dog thinks everyone should hug him too, and he likes to give everyone a big kiss.
Hope your back is getting better.
Silver day was wonderful, throughly enjoyed it and even treated myself.
    Take care,
    Jules
