My top TV picks, featuring Ant and Dec and Amanda Holden!

2

Hello!

I don’t watch a great deal of television… actually that’s not entirely true as there are a number of series I’m glued to on Netflix including Better Call Saul and Suits. Brilliant.

Then there’s BBC and ITV. I’m partial to the occasional episode of Bargain Hunt (I’d love to go on that) but my favourite TV programme by far on BBC 1 is Casualty. I wasn’t happy when it took a week off for the Eurovision Song Contest (one of my least favourite shows!!). I also miss some of the great characters which have left Casulaty. Nick Jordan was a class act and then of course the recent departure of Cal. How hard hitting was that! Wow… what an episode.

ITV produces and delivers some great TV too. The Brook household loves Britain’s Got Talent. The magic acts this year are particularly strong and we’ve had some superb singers. For us the panel of judges really makes the show with of course Ant and Dec too. David Walliams is hilarious and somewhat unpredictable which we love. Also how great is Amanda Holden – especially now that she has her own range at QVC!

BundleBerry by Amanda Holden is a fabulous homeware range and I recently placed my very first order from the collection.

The vase is just perfect for the colour scheme we’ve chosen for our new kitchen/diner (the work on which is about to start!). We’ve opted for the grey.

You can find out more about the range with Amanda when our cameras recently caught up with her.

Staying with Britain’s Got Talent which is hosted by two very familiar faces – Ant and Dec. National Treasures for sure!

I’m often asked what my favourite moments are from all my years spent with QVC. There are many but there’s a particular time on air which I will always remember. When Ant and Dec popped by in aid of Comic Relief.

I’ll catch you on air very soon!

Take care

Hi Charlie. I must have missed the Ant and Dec red nose bit [ could have been when I was working ]. I DO remember when you got stuck in the children’s play tunnel [ that was funny ] and then who could forget the MOTH ….SORRY. I don’t think I’ve seen ” Better call Saul ” but Suits is a good program. OH DEAR your a fan of Bargain Hunt too……my nephew keeps threatening to put my sister and myself on the show as we keep saying we’d love to go on. Hay perhaps there should be a QVC presenter teams….Dale and yourself, Craig and Miceal, Anne and Debbie, Jackie and Chloe. Now that would be a laugh.
Looking forward to the gardening shows when your back.
    Take care.

Hello Debbie and whoofs to Bella!

The play tunnel was many, many years ago although I remember it like it was yesterday!

The moth incident I’m still getting over!

I’d love to go on BH! Why don’t you apply and go on with your sister!!

    All the best

    Charlie
