I’m not a ‘techie’ in so much as I don’t spend hours talking in a binary language to other likeminded folk, but that said, I love discovering new technology. It’s so exciting to find out what’s out there and new in terms of the latest gadgets and systems and more importantly what it can do for me?
When I was a kid there was a BBC show called Tomorrows World usually presented by the late Raymond Baxter. It often showcased the latest inventions and gadgets from around the world – many never saw the light of day and were often quite amusing, in a ridiculous way.
But, it made me realise that if people stop trying to improve systems or come up with new technological approaches we wouldn’t develop and would effectively stand still. I’m sure people ridiculed Edison or Babbage in their day.
What’s exciting about our Q Technology weekend is that not only have the items ‘seen the light of day’ they are available to buy, right now!
Plus, you’ll see all the items demonstrated and explained in clear English by experienced guests, who know and have road-tested their products for you already.
There are so many varied products featured throughout the event, but here’s a couple that have caught my eye in shows I’ll be presenting…
This really is a little beauty and to think it can record personal memories in crystal clear dynamic HD images in such a compact design is incredible.
Toshiba is a brand that you can trust – they produce stylish and easy-to-use electronic products and this one is on an Introductory Price of £131.88! One of the reasons it is so compact is that it records both HD moving and still images onto an SD card – we even provide a 4GB card to get you started.
We’ve previously sold nearly 6,000 of these fantastic camcorders and I’ll be featuring it again at midnight on Friday (into Saturday) during a premiere show Toshiba, Leading Innovation when we’ll also showcase a cracking Toshiba Netbook TSV.
Dragon Naturally Speaking software
I don’t know about you but I type using two fingers at a time and although my speed has improved over the years, my brain moves very much faster than my fingers on the keyboard. This is just one of many reasons why I love this product.
It will type as you speak, you can cut, copy and paste, delete, change font etc and it learns from you and effectively grows with you to form a symbiotic bond the more you use it.
Dragon say that once you have mastered the system you’ll be able to create documents up to three times faster than the average person can type -now that’s progress!
To see it demonstrated, join me at 1am on Saturday in the premiere Q Technology show.
