My springtime essentials

Hairfix Salon Sized 400ml Recovery Trio Hi all,

With spring on its way at last, I thought I'd put together a list of all the essentials you'll need to look gorgeous in the warmer months ahead.

The sun is coming and we can get caught out, even in the springtime, with unexpected hot days. I'd recommend wearing at least the Ultrasun SPF 30 on the face. Then if it's a hot day and if you have fair skin, like me, I'd wear the Ultrasun SPF50 on the face and body.

HairFix Recovery System

You might start thinking about changing your hair cut or colour in the spring and so this HairFix Systemwill make your hairdressing appointment even better!

Spring nail colours

Unlike classic make-up like Bobbi Brown, nail colours can date you so step into spring/summer with the latest fashion nail colours.

An exfoliating body wash

Liz Earle Orange Flower Botanical Body Wash Duo Many people forget to exfoliate in the winter months so it's time to get back into it for the summer ahead. Liz Earle Botanical Body Wash combines a shower gel and a scrub and will be perfect used three or four times a week.

An indulgent body moisturiser

This doesn't have to be applied every single night, just three nights a week would be good just to see the results that it can have. You'll probably want to keep on using it! If you then run out of time, you can just apply it to the areas that benefit from it the most – the backs of arms and legs etc. View all our body moisturisers.

Self tan

Laura Geller Baked Body Frosting Get clever with self tan – either to patch up your tan or to prepare for the summer. We have some great instant bronzers – such as gel-based ones that wash off but don't sweat off.

I'm currently wearing Laura Geller Baked Body Frosting which has a great powder puff with a sponge applicator – all you need to do is simply paint it on where you want that extra warmth to your skin.

Self tan doesn't have to be difficult or time consuming, see all our self tan.

    Hi Alison,
I use Decleor Prolegene Gel all over the face and eyes, Elemis Eye Absolute serum and Decleor Hydrotenseur serum for the eyes in this order. Is it ok to use a gel under a serum? Is the order I am using them in ok? Is it ok to use two serums together? I look forward to your response.

I use UltraSun Face SPF 30 during the daytime. Can I apply Decleor Neroli too, or will this interfere with the performance of product?

Dear Alison, first of all congratulations on your wonderful selection of products for QVC;it was them that first attracted me to this tv channel and website.I wanted to take advantage of your knowledge and ask a few questions.I’m 33 and using Alpha H and decleor’s hydrafloral, plus Bobby Brown spf15 moisturizing foundation. My skin looks fantastic now, moisturised and even toned,so a big thank you for introducing me to those ranges. The problem is I’m noticing sagginess in the jaw line, extending to the neck and decolletage. It is minimal, but I notice it.I want a product that will slow down this process, does the TUO viso device work? I’ve never used a serum, is it time to start, and which one should I go for? Thank you again for your time and kindness, it’s always a pleasure to watch and learn from you in QVC.With many thanks, Maria

Hi Alison, I am just forty, do look younger even though I smoked for twenty plus years, just. My question is my hormones are terrible and cause major skin problems. I have just bought some decleor oil and night cream(have read some good reviews re skin problems) is there anything I should be using that would be better for both spot prone skin and anti aging for skin my age?

    Dear Alison,
I am 51 years old and my skin is beautiful thanks to QVC beauty products. I have just developed a slight bag under both eyes. Please be kind to recomend eye products to reduce the bags.
    Many thanks – Sheri.

I like Cleanse and Polish because it comforts like a layer of cream, inhaling an uolifting, clean scent. It removes effortlessley leaving dewy, clear pampered skin.

You have to check out Jan Marini products and get them on QVC. I have tried all the products from all ranges in the skin care and nothing beats the results of Jan Marini you must look into this they are amazing.

    Hi Alison,
I have always suffered from what I think are blocked hair follicles, presenting with small bumps on the back of my legs and arms (no colour). Is there a way of inproving the feel of these areas of skin?
Many thanks indeed for all of your help,
