The last 12 months have raced by in a flash! It really feels like it’s been the quickest year ever! I hope your preparations for Christmas and New Year have all gone to plan. Mine were going really well up until a month or so ago and then time suddenly ran away with me! Oooops!
I thought I’d reflect on some of my highlights of the year with some photos and videos which I’ve shared with you before but also a new video which you haven’t seen until now! More on that in a moment. I’d love to hear your highlights too, do leave a comment below if you get a spare minute in-between wrapping those gifts and preparing the turkey!
My Cairn Terriers bring me so much joy and I hope you’ve liked seeing the pictures as much as I have sharing. We have had the most wonderful walks throughout the year – but not without the odd mishap – namely one or both of them rolling in something I’d very much rather they didn’t! Enough said!
Work has had so many highlights. Earlier this year I was lucky enough to launch my latest jewellery design – the diamond heart bangle (306576). I remember when it debuted like it was yesterday… I was so, so nervous!
Thank you again to Ali Young for modelling so beautifully! Also, additional thanks to Ali Young for the numerous smoothies she has treated me to throughout the year! She also gave me a chocolate Santa to tuck in to as well this week! Eaten!
Wimbledon tennis was fabulous again, and I have applied once more for tickets in the public ballot for 2017. Fingers crossed… strawberries and Cream here I come!!
A gardening highlight of mine earlier this year was meeting a new resident! This adorable little hedgehog! I really hope they come back again soon.
So many great memories on air throughout the year, but this one will stay with me for quite some time! The attack of the moth. Ok, slight exaggeration! It was a warm, balmy evening and we were presenting the show in our gardening set outside. Well, television requires bright lights and our outdoor set is equipped with enough lighting to fill a small stadium. With light came the moths and other winged creatures in search of hundreds of watts of brightness!
Shortly after the show we managed to see and measure the size of some of these beautiful, nocturnal visitors.
On the subject of being outdoors I was on air, earlier this year, with Jenny from Fashion by Together. Her laugh is so infectious and she found it particularly funny when I took apart (by accident of course!) the clothes rail…
I’m really looking forward to another exciting year ahead at QVC… I would like the year to run a little slower than 2016 if possible! I haven’t even thought about New Year Resolutions. I tend not to do them but if there is one thing I’d like to sort in 2017, it would have to be our kitchen! It’s long, long overdue a refurb. There are various drawers and cupboards which are on their hinges and now some handles are missing too! I wonder if that could be due to mischievous Cairns by any chance? ;- )
I wish you a magical Christmas and New Year… I’ll leave you with one more video clip which I recorded only a few days ago. Firstly I must point out I did receive permission from the participant before popping it onto my blog ;- )
I came off air, headed in to the presenters’ dressing room area to be greeted by the most beautiful singing from the shower..! But who was it..? See if you can guess before I say who it is!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
