I’m so thrilled this week because I’ve actually been given my own show on QVC! It’s called “At Home with Jackie” and the first one will be on Saturday the 14th of September at 2pm.
As the name suggests, it’s all about making your home gorgeous. I’m passionate about interior design and really believe that if your home is a tranquil, beautiful place to be, then you’re a happier person. We all need a sanctuary, and whatever your budget you can make your home reflect your personality and be a place you look forward to returning to after a busy day.
So – let’s talk about this new show! The first one is all about refreshing your bedroom, and we’ll be bringing you not just bedding and throws but all the other things you need to enhance your surroundings. So you can expect to see some of your favourite QVC brands, including Yankee Candles, Peony, Northern Nights, Collier Campbell and Magniflex.
I don’t want to give too much away right now but I’ve taken a couple of pictures in my house of items that’ll be appearing in the show! The white Peony orchid arrangement (pictured above left) is in a bathroom window and I think it looks stunning. I’ve kept it really simple and put it against a plain white blind and it looks like a piece of art. Gorgeous.
I also have a pink one, which is on the window sill in my spare bedroom (pictured left). I like the way it picks up the colour of the red roof outside, and it adds a real touch of elegance.
Then of course there are my Yankee Candles. I was never remotely interested in candles until I presented a Yankee show on QVC on the August Bank Holiday Monday. Oh my goodness. I couldn’t believe how good they were – the fragrances, the colours! I was instantly smitten and started compiling a list of my favourites – and then buying!
There’ll be a few Yankee items in the show, including these stemmed glass votive candle holders. I love them in a line along my dining table – they look so contemporary and chic. But they are also nice clustered together in a group, maybe on a shelf or mantelpiece, or on a bedside table.
So there you go – a tiny taste of what you can expect in “At Home with Jackie”. I might show you a few more bits later this week – come back soon and have a look, and please join me at 2pm next Saturday for my first show!
Have a great week.
Love Jackie x
