My fun with the Nintendo DSi TSV!

Well, what can I say? I am completely bowled over! I'm not even a real 'gamer' but this has so many features and I can even say that my mathematical skills look to be improving after only 24 hours with this unique little device!! That's saying something, too, as I'm particularly challenged in that area.

I'm going to have to get one for myself as this little beauty has to be handed back on monday before our midnight launch with one of the most fun loving people I know, James Lavers. He and I got together and played with our DSi's and we are both smitten with it through & through.

James Dsi

I just had to show you how I've adapted a photo I took of Pixiecat with the DSi (it's got two cameras! Oh, and you can use twitter from it! It's so feature packed & versatile! Can you tell I love it yet?).

…these had us all in stitches! Below is my personal favourite!!

I am so so so thrilled to let you know a little secret, too….YES, IT'S ON EASY PAYMENTS!!! HURRAH!

Now it's not just about funny piccies, of course, and brain training. It's for the whole family and I've had to wait my turn to play with as my teenagers (and Steve) have been all over it.

Tell me, do you have one? What do you do with yours? What's so good about it for you?

See at the TSV launch monday at midnight!

Love Catherine x

    Hello gorgeous Felix & Smudge,
Pixiecat would never do such a thing! Mind you, she has been known to leave a little parcel by the front door in the past and seems to have outgrown it.
I just hope she doesn’t see this now as she may brew up a special treat for me and this time it could be left on my pillow if she really is upset at being manipulated!
Hee to your mum and purrs & tickles to you two very capably typing cats.

    Hi Jayne,
So glad to hear from you! I’ve been dying to know what other people think of it. I’ve been on twitter and had a lot of responses there…nothing but positives, in fact, but it’s great to hear you love it too.
I am amazed at the brain training. I’m constantly mentioning that I am ‘mathematically challenged’ but after using the brain training for the last couple of days I have improved, as crazy as that sounds!
I also wish you a very happy Christmas & new year!
    Lots of love,
    Catherine x

    Hi Catherine
Love the pics of your cat, things like that really make me laugh-my Husband thinks I’m mad. How is your cat with the eye problem?
Lexi’s had more results today and has intestinal/pancreatic probs-but hopefully not as bad as originally thought-yet! The Vet advises against any medication at this stage as it could do more harm than good.He has told me to claim off my Pet Ins though as it will get costly.
Am taking your advice and hoping to relax more, so my Daughter and I are going to see Les Mis next week. Have you seen it? I’ve spoken to many people who are giving me conflicting reports. It’s a night out anyway-my one annual outing!!
As always take care and speak soon
    Julie xx

    Hi Julie,
Aww, I’m glad I gave you a good old chuckle. If anyone could do with a stress relieving laugh right now I know it’s you, what with your lovely Lexi’s problems.
Les Mis is a brilliant idea! It’s my personal favourite West End musical and I’ve seen it countless times. I’ve even taken my teens to see it and sometimes hear the music coming out of their rooms as they now love it too. Do let me know what you think.
Have a wonderful time with your daughter, Julie.
Chat soon & lots of love,
    Catherine x

What an awful TSV! Over £50 more than many high street shops, even with the games and the ‘accessories’.
We expect more of you QVC – terrible value for money, simply terrible!

Hi H Jones, (sorry, that sounds so impersonal but I didn’t have your name in full)
Thanks for writing in, we always appreciate feedback.
I would like to take some time to answer your comments.
Firstly, I am sorry that you are so disappointed. We strive to make our customers’ experience with QVC a great one. I speak as both an employee and a customer myself..possibly becoming one of QVC’s best customers this year! I find many of our deals irresistable.
When we offer a TSV we try to offer the best value that we can. To be fair, we haven’t claimed that we would have the best possible price when compared to the high street but our best possible price. We appreciate that there are many retailers offering the products which comprised our TSV. The value element was, we felt, competitive for the package we offered.
I would always suggest shopping around and if you can find a better deal elsewhere then, by all means please feel free to purchase from them. We all shop around after all.
Two major reasons we felt this was a super TSV offering were the 4 easy payments and the 30 day money back guarantee (currently extended on Christmas gifts).
We are a trusted and respected retailer and have always offered our money back guarantee. Not all (not many in fact) retailers would offer a returns policy on opened goods. We felt that this offer really made us stand out as a company to buy the DSi from.
Our easy payment system is another massive advantage for many at this time of year. We feel we made a lot of people happy by offering this ‘spread the cost’ facility with this TSV. Some may have found it to be out of reach without it, in fact.
I fell in love with the TSV after using it and was yesterday about to order it for myself when my partner, Steve, said perhaps I should wait and see what other deals there may be..of course I was quite surprised but it turned out he was trying to put me off as he had already ordered it for me! He is a keen shopper and would have looked around at deals but the 30 days and easy pays were the clincher of the deal.
Sometimes I also come across deals which appear to be better value than QVC but then I come back and prefer to spend that price differential with QVC for the peace of mind of the guarantee but also that I know the company I’m shopping with. I can feel a bit wary of some companies or people on auction sites I’m not familiar with. So, to me, some of the value can be in the feeling of security and worth paying the bit extra for sometimes.
Apologies for the lengthy reply! I really felt the need to reply and explain our position. It sounds like you found a remarkably good deal and I hope your purchase goes smoothly if you went for it and that you enjoy the DSi.
I wish you and yours a very happy Christmas and 2010.
    With warmest wishes,
    Catherine x
