My favourite picks from Label Lab!

Hi there!

If you are a follower of fashion, I hope you were able to join us for at least part of the 48 hours we spent last week bringing you the first of our Autumn fashion. If you missed the event, there’s plenty still on our website (some available in Easy Pay instalments) and lots to read about with special fashion-focused blogs.

Our fantastic team of fashion buyers have given you some ideas on their favourite ways to cover up on those days when summer is turning into autumn and you need an extra layer but don’t want to say goodbye to summer looks too quickly. MarlaWynne, one of our (my!) favourite designers who was responsible for our sell-out Today’s Special Value on Fashion Day last week, answers questions about her life, love of fashion and other totally unrelated subjects on our community pages too. And don’t miss our Style List – every month the QVC fashion and accessories teams bring exciting new trends and edits to our Style List editorial pages – it’s your online inspiration destination.

Last week saw our special two day event but for the whole month of August we are celebrating our first ever fashion month. So we have saved some extra special moments until later in the month and there’s one coming up in Julia Roberts’ Fashion on Friday show this week at 5pm.

Julia will be launching a brand new range called Label Lab, a name you may have seen on the highstreet.

It’s a name I’ve invested in several times from my local department store so I’m really excited that I can now buy it at QVC. With a slightly edgy, urban look, Label Lab is a softer, more refined (and less expensive!) version of Allsaints, another range I love but which is a bit pricey for me and often not quite big enough!

Soft colours, unique prints and fabulous fabrics combine with a touch of rock’n’roll and vintage inspiration to create a versatile selection of clothes that can be combined for complete outfits or used as individual pieces to add to what you already have in your wardrobe. I love the way the understated glamour of the range doesn’t try too hard – the clothes are easy to wear. I’ve managed to get my hands on some of what will feature in Friday’s show to give you a sneaky preview – thanks to Jackie for taking the photos for me.

She was pleased to see the clothes before they come to air and is planning to order the drapey berry top and probably the longline black top too. You can check it out and order your favourites on our website right now by clicking on the links above, but please don’t buy it all before Friday – Julia won’t be happy with me if there’s nothing left for her show!

And keep watching – there will be plenty more fashion treats before the end of the month!

Best wishes, and take care

    Hi Kathy
Nice to see some new fashion labels coming to QVC. I’m 60, but like to wear modern fashion, but I find some of the fashion a bit too expensive, so if it comes on easy pay, I order it to try. I thought the three easy pay on Autumn fashion at the weekend was wonderful. I bought more than I should have. I did have one problem with the H for Halston Terry Jacket. I saw it being aired early on Saturday morning, and liked the look of it, but the sizing on the website was odd, and I hadn’t a clue what size to order. I watched the video, but Jackie Kabler didn’t mention the sizes (which is a bug bear of mine). Can I please mention that not everybody has their tablets/phones to hand when a fashion item comes to air, customers need to know the sizes straight away. I really wanted this jacket, so I decided to ring the order line. I’m not used to waiting on the phone, having been a customer for over ten years, I used q-cut all the time, but when I finally managed to speak to an operator, she couldn’t help me with the sizes, which was no use to me. After speaking to her and explaining the problem I had, she managed to tell me that large was 39.5″. I am 12-14 high street, but tall with long arms, so decided to order the large. It was popular, so the only colour left was Heather Fawn. The jacket has arrived and I like it, but I don’t know whether its the cut, but it seems to look a bit big on my body, but long enough on the arms. I’m now in a quandary wondering whether I should order a medium, but keep the large. But if its too small, I’ll have to send it back paying another lot of postage.

Can we also have the tunics in a longer length please, I hate showing my bottom, and some of the tunic lengths don’t cover it.

    Thank you for listening.

    Kind regards,

Hi Michelle, glad you like the look of Label Lab! I’m a size 16 top half and I was wearing Large. The clothes are generously cut and I could probably wear Medium but I don’t mind having a bit of breathing space… Hope you love it if you buy it!
