I have been thinking for quite a long time as to how I could help my special lady out when it comes to making sure I get just the present I would like. It’s so hard to narrow it down to just one so I thought I’d give her a few options in a rather traditional Christmassy way. So here goes:
On the 1st day of Christmas I would be very happy if my truelove gave to me..
I have to get myself in shape again but running on the tarmac or concrete is out of the question. Running on this treadmill really cushions the impact and is much more comfortable …. And it’s indoors so no cold wet runs in the park!
On the second day of Christmas as I’m trying to avoid turtle doves as a bit of a New Years resolution, I’d be happier with….
I have only just finished the front drive, with new gravel. I bought loads of bulbs from the gardening shows and I think these would look rather splendid decked out with tulips.
On the third day of Christmas I think my chickens would get rather confused with a whole load of French hens floating about so I would opt for…
I’ve still got a bin store and some woodwork to do out the front and the a Evolution 3 is a really pro bit of kit that I would love to have in my DIY arsenal.
On the fourth day of Christmas my true love would be well hacked-off if I had four birds calling on me so I had better avoid that and would be much safer with this…
A really nice cozy duvet set that would give me lovely homely feel on Hogmanay!
On the fifth day of Christmas my truelove wouldn’t mind me giving her rings but I don’t suit jewellery so I would rather ring the changes to my peony flowers with these…
On the sixth day of Christmas I’m not sure the neighbours would ever talk to me again if I introduced a flock of geese honking away at all hours of the day, so this would be much better…
A set of three tipples that were awarded stars in the prestigious Great Taste awards. I do love a gin and tonic and these would make an exciting and refreshing change from ‘yer run of the mill hooch!
On the Seventh day of Christmas my truelove will think I have lost my marbles as this is a duo…
…but you see they are both seven inch tablets and I think that’s a great size for slipping in your bag or even your pocket to perhaps catch up with a bit of reading with the kindle app.
On the eighth day of Christmas, I’ll have to be careful as my truelove is lactose intolerant so I can’t have a whole load of milkmaids turning up on the doorstep, but I would l like to find this little set in my stocking..
Perfect sizes and really indulgent everyday luxury…. Just for the blokes!
Now the ninth day of Christmas has always been tricky as my truelove never seems to warm to the idea of a group of dancing girls being invited along to the party. I prefer to play it safe and keep her mind off such things by sharing some wonderful tastes together…
Love, love, love Joe and Seph’s fabulous flavours and this is great accompaniment to some of the Christmas movies we can watch together.
On the tenth day of Christmas my truelove would be delighted to feast her eyes on a bunch of posh blokes in tweed suits leaping about, but I don’t fancy the competition. However, if she bought me these I’d be happy to go outside and put on my best show in the newly-lit garden.
I have been trying to get my truelove to embrace the eleventh day of Christmas ever since we met. The sound of the swirling pipes never fails to make the hairs on the back of my neck jump up. My truelove thinks it sounds like some nasty people being very unkind to their animals, so she would rather get me this…
I suppose I could try and ask for some haggis too!
And for the twelfth Day of Christmas – with all these days around Christmas to remember I really should have it all on a spreadsheet! That’s where this would come in….
I would love to try out this style of computing and really see how good it is.
Well I seem to have it all laid out for my truelove so that I have the most wonderful Christmas to look forward to, but what shall I get her… Do you think a set of sauce pans would be a good idea? (ouch!)
