Recently of the presenter Christmas wish lists appeared QGossip – I was too late for mine to go up so here’s the list. What’s yours?
If I thought there was any point, I’d ask for a better-behaved Daisy dog, but apparently the list has to be realistic!
1. Illy Coffee Maker
I must say that since coffee is my only vice, I was amaaaazed at how utterly smooth and delicious the Illy coffee was, which I tried on air the other day. So the Illy Espresso machine is definitely top of my list. (I'll let you into a secret – it’ll probably be my present to myself this year, I just can’t resist!
2. New CD
I just can’t do without my music, but I still love getting the actual CD. Our live music offerings this year have been fabulous. So what do I still need? Charlotte Church CD? Got it and it’s brilliant. SuBo? Just got it. Russell Watson’s La Voce? Just waiting for it to be delivered! So I guess it’ll be the new three CD set from the fabulous John Barrowman!
I’ve got one of the three already – but I can use it as a super gift and keep the other two – I just LOVE some of those tracks he sings like Weekend in New England, Can’t Take my Eyes off You and Both Sides Now!
Finally, leaving aside all the delicious food we have on offer, it’s still hard to narrow down the choices from all our different products, and I just know as soon as I say a third one, and send it in – I’ll think of something else!
So what should the third choice be? New down duvet? Yankee Candles in amazing Christmas scents? Philosophy or Tova or Elemis fragrance? South Western silver cuff bangle or mookite set? So hard to choose!
Ok so how about this one – a new camcorder/camera with at least 7x optical zoom, 12MP, 720pHD, clever modes including night mode, and a whole host of accessories – could have really done with it recently on the river boat cruise as my mobile phone camera missed out so much! Thing is, we have so many different products to choose from on QVC. I’ll go away now to narrow it down to one!
Getting into the festive mood…
I'm sitting here watching one of my ‘must-watch’ Christmas movies – you know, the ones that you just have to watch every yuletide! It’s Holiday Inn – the original, with Bing and Fred Astaire. Alongside It’s a Wonderful Life, Love Actually, Groundhog Day, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation and a whole host of others, all of which I’ll watch again by December 25th! What are your favourite Christmas films?
It's the perfect way to combat the freezing weather and the fact that I’m snowed in after last night’s Gatineau show. In fact, I had to even abandon the car on a nearby hill and walk the rest of the 20 minutes home in minus three, through eight inch deep snow. Hope you haven’t had worse happen to you.
I'm back home now of course, and so is the car, courtesy of the RAC - but thank goodness for my amazing Emu’s! My black water-resistant ones kept my feet warm and dry even through the deep snow – including out in the field with the dogs today, too!
If I didn’t have a pair already I’d definitely be putting them on my list for Santa! There’s a pair in stock at the moment in case you’re interested – as several people have been who commented on my Facebook page! Emu Outback Hi Boot - just read the review from Gertie in Kent!
Have a happy fabby Christmas and don’t forget to read the last blog for the bit about getting a return Christmas card from me!
Debs, Brad, Lauren and the dogs – Holly, Patch, Gracie and Daisy!
P.S – watch out on Monday (6th) for some news from Kipling’s Marie-Francoise. She’s back with some Christmas ideas for your own lists Monday at 1pm and 9pm.
