It's been another busy weekend for QVC – what an amazing Decleor TSV we had on Sunday!
Isn't it incredible how music evokes memories and brings them back to you as though it were yesterday? I was driving into work last week – popped on the radio and heard Black Box – Ride on Time. What a classic! I was stunned when the presenter recalled it's release in 1989! Where have the last 20 years gone?!
I remember clearly (like it were yesterday) walking through Woolworths in Portsmouth with my Mum and sister. I wasn't paying any attention to what they were saying as I was walking and humming in time to Black Box!
On hearing that track, on the way into work, it got me thinking. The very first single I owned was Madness and Baggy Trousers, on vinyl! The first cassette album, I owned, was by Billy Joel – my Dad bought me that and it was constantly on my walkman and my 'single speaker' cassette player in my bedroom! Then, right up to date, the very first CD I owned was Erasure's Wild! Still love that album.
Looking ahead to this weekend. I'm on air this Saturday morning at 11am with the Oreck Challenge. I've been trying this out and it's brilliant. The carpet pile is left with a spring in its step! Then I'm on air at 1pm with the first two hours of the diamond spectacular. I'm really looking forward to it.
Take care and see you soon,
