He is four years old this May and is a delight every second of the day. He's so laid back with the most wonderful manner and, to be honest, he's simply too good to be true. He loves his cuddles, the warmth of his bed. Boy, can he snore but you kind of miss it when he is having a quiet night. His food and his walks on the beach are some of his favourites too.
The Franks love the coast line and the sunshine so we took him to one of our favourite UK coastlines on a gorgeous April day. He loves the freedom and, surprisingly for a bulldog, the water. I think this is due to his weekly hydrotherapy swimming lesson. He runs away from the initial froth of the wave and runs around in a circle, it's so funny to watch. He is amazing with children, they just love him.
Larry and I have been looking for a brother for Scruncher for a while now and the perfect boy came our way last week. It's been a long time with viewings to get the perfect bulldog. We viewed our new boy and he is just perfect too. He is currently six weeks old and still with his mum. He is arriving at the end of May when he will be 12 weeks old. We are going back to see him in a few weeks.
The breeders are mother and daughter Jackie and Sara and are the nicest professional breeders we have ever met. It was bulldog heaven and our new boy was irresistible. So there I am, as you can see in the picture, in the breeders kitchen having been handed Mr Bo Jangles by Larry, with Larry saying "What do you think?" What do I think? He had me at the first wrinkle!
He is so soft and calm, and his little face looking at me whilst trying to keep awake is simply adorable. His coat is 10 times too big and full of those bulldog wrinkles we just love. We chose Mr Bo Jangles for his name as it is one of Larry's favourite songs. I am smiling already at calling Scruncher and Mr Bo Jangles as we walk in the park, but hey, when have we ever been the norm. I hear you all laughing already knowing me as you do.
So we are preparing for the big day at the end of May. Scruncher will love him and teach him all his little cheeky tricks, no doubt, and make sure that Mr Bo Jangles knows that he's king of the house.
I will keep you updated. In the meantime I'd love to hear your pet stories…
Love as always,
p.s: Mr Bo Jangles' mum, Roxi just won a first at her latest show, which is amazing as it is her first show since the puppies. Congratulations to Roxi!
