Mr Bo Jangles joins the Franks family!

Jill and Scruncher on the beach You are always asking for an update on Scruncher, our gorgeous and totally spoilt English Bulldog so here it is.

He is four years old this May and is a delight every second of the day. He's so laid back with the most wonderful manner and, to be honest, he's simply too good to be true. He loves his cuddles, the warmth of his bed. Boy, can he snore but you kind of miss it when he is having a quiet night. His food and his walks on the beach are some of his favourites too.

The Franks love the coast line and the sunshine so we took him to one of our favourite UK coastlines on a gorgeous April day. He loves the freedom and, surprisingly for a bulldog, the water. I think this is due to his weekly hydrotherapy swimming lesson. He runs away from the initial froth of the wave and runs around in a circle, it's so funny to watch. He is amazing with children, they just love him.

Meeting Mr Bo Jangles for the first time But, oh boy, look what he has coming his way…

Larry and I have been looking  for a brother for Scruncher for a while now and the perfect boy came our way last week. It's been a long time with viewings to get the perfect bulldog. We viewed our new boy and he is just perfect too. He is currently six weeks old and still with his mum. He is arriving at the end of May when he will be 12 weeks old. We are going back to see him in  a few weeks.

The breeders are mother and daughter Jackie and Sara and are the nicest professional breeders we have ever met. It was bulldog heaven and our new boy was irresistible. So there I am, as you can see in the picture, in the breeders kitchen having been handed Mr Bo Jangles by Larry, with Larry saying "What do you think?" What do I think? He had me at the first wrinkle!

He is so soft and calm, and his little face looking at me whilst trying to keep awake is simply adorable. His coat is 10 times too big and full of those bulldog wrinkles we just love. We chose Mr Bo Jangles for his name as it is one of Larry's favourite songs. I am smiling already at calling Scruncher and Mr Bo Jangles as we walk in the park, but hey, when have we ever been the norm. I hear you all laughing already knowing me as you do.

So we are preparing for the big day at the end of May. Scruncher will love him and teach him all his little cheeky tricks, no doubt, and make sure that Mr Bo Jangles knows that he's king of the house.

I will keep you updated. In the meantime I'd love to hear your pet stories…

Love as always,

Jill xxx

p.s: Mr Bo Jangles' mum, Roxi just won a first at her latest show, which is amazing as it is her first show since the puppies. Congratulations to Roxi!

Hi Jill, I like you love bulldogs. We have a three year old called Alfie and also a boxer called Charlie. (We also had another Bulldog called Oscar who sadly died 5 years ago on Valentines night due to epileptic fits which he had regularly. He was a very similar colour to Mr. Bo Jangles. Incidently have had that tune in my head since I heard what your were calling him. Our bully also likes water and dont think he knows`the difference between a canal and a puddle. My husband has had to take his shoes and socks off to rescue him on one occasion. Anyway good luck whith Mr. Bo Jangles and love to Scruncher.

Ah Jill, how lovely..I heard you mention you may be getting another a few weeks ago and that you were ‘no way’ calling pup Mr Bo Jangles’. Haha..yeah ok hun!
He looks soooo cute, and its lovely when you get lovely professional breeders that do things right & care about their pups too.
My Mum & Dad have Labradors (not the huge show kind but working dogs) and have 10 Labs and 1 Collie. My Mum bred from one of her bitches so me & hubby bought a dog.
His name is Flynn and he is now 2yrs old. He is a real character but so well behaved indoors. I have a chronic pain illness and swear he knows when I am ill.He is such good company/fun and loves ‘our’ bed when hubby goes to work..he puts his paw on my back to let me know he wants to come up,then lies upside down with bits in the air & goes to sleep, lol.
I am like you & Ali Young, no kids, just love animals..they’re love is totally unconditional and you ALWAYS get a teriffic greeting from them no matter what!
I wish the Frank’s new addition all the best at the end of May and hope that Scruncher’s nose is’nt put too much out of joint with puppy pranks.
Good luck Jill, so jealous of your new ‘time-waster’ coming soon. Plenty of blog & pics please ;0) Hugs xx

Hi Jill, great puppy and great name, he will make your family complete. On another note Jill I was watching you on QVC the other day and you had the most amazing pink nail varnish on, your nails looked beautiful. Can you let me know the colour if I can get it on QVC? Good luck to you all. Sue from Poole.

Heard you have a new puppy that you are going to call Mister Bojangles.
I also have a Mister Bojangles. He is a six year old Ruby coloured Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. We call him Bo for short. We are big fans of the song – hence the name!! He has a brother – Sonny Boy (as in, climb upon my knee)

I am so excited for you as we are going to pick up our new dog a Labradoodle at the beginning of May and I don’t know who is more excited about it me or my children.
Looking forward to hearing your dog updates. Have to say I do agree with the previous reviewer who complimented you on your skin. Are you using anything different if so please tell me what as my skin could do with a bit of TLC.

Hi Jill – well how cute is Mr Bojangles ????? I wish him a long happy healthy life with your loving family – and your hubby is right – its a great song !
Me and my family are lucky enough to share our lives with a mad west highland terrier called Dougal. Being a dog owner is a big commitment – but one that we have never regretted making.
Good luck and please keep us up to date with photos .
