As many of you might know by now, iconic British beauty brand, Molton Brown are returning to QVC this month complete with new products and a brand new presenter – Jemma Forte. We caught up with Jemma to find out a little more about the brand, what’s coming up and of course about Jemma herself!
Tell us a little about your background
I began presenting at the Disney Channel where I stayed for five years, clocking up hours and hours of live studio experience and interviewing everyone from Britney Spears and Beyoncé to David Beckham.
I’ve also presented lots of different programmes across BBC1, BBC2 and acted in a drama on Channel Four. I’ve also written three novels and when I’m not busy with my two children I’m appearing in TV commercials and as a regular panellist on London Live’s ‘Not the One Show’ and Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff.
Tell us more about Molton Brown
Idiosyncratic, innovative and independent, Molton Brown has been skilfully blending fragrances since 1973, sourcing the world’s most precious ingredients and creating fabulous products in London, our home.
Our name is a fusion of the name of the street on which we first blended haircare products by hand; South Molton Street, Mayfair, and the cutting-edge fashion boutique established by our foundress’ parents; Browns.
Molton Brown’s love affair with exotically scented, skin-conditioning body washes and body lotions started in 1979 with the launch of our first body products. We became trailblazers of men’s grooming in 1985 by introducing our gents’ collection of skincare, fragrance, and shaving products.
Then in 1989 a hotel manager popped into our London store and fell in love with our products. Forty years later and we now stock the finest hotels and cruise ships in over 65 countries!
All our products have a ‘London Via’ story as we source ingredients from all corners of the world. One of our first hero fragrance blends was Orange and Bergamot – London via Seville.
We are celebrating the 30th anniversary of this iconic fragrance, which was also our very first hand care blend. It comes in a top-to-toe pampering collection with a citrus twist, straight from the grove. It’s our original scent from 1984, all wrapped up with a new name – it’s lively, zesty and unmistakable.
In 2002 we launched Black Peppercorn and an icon was born. Popular with men and women, this spicy scent comes to you London via Madagascar. It will pep up your daily routine with its iconic blend reminiscent of heated sands, a spice-spiked breeze and skin warmed by the sun – it’s hot, spicy and adventurous!
What can customers look forward to in the first shows?
We’re very excited to be showcasing an extraordinary range. Look out for The Discovery Collection – it’s an indulgent eight-piece bathing set that includes body washes and body lotions with some of our most popular fragrances including our iconic Black Peppercorn, Pink Pepperpod, Ylang Ylang, Japanese Orange and more.
We’ll also be featuring an Oceanic Soothing Bathing Experience set which includes a body wash and a Stress Relieving Hydrosoak. I think the Signature Scents Collection will prove to be very popular as it contains our most loved scents with body washes and body lotions in Pink Pepperpod and Ylang Ylang, plus hand wash and hand lotion in Pomegranate and Ginger, and a hand cream in Ylang Ylang.
Join us and Molton Brown on 25th August and embark on an exotic journey of scent discovery with their signature bath and body blends and luxurious hand care.
