I’d really like some recommendations for skincare of mature yet spot prone skin type. I am prone to spots but my skin is also starting to age and lose elasticity and tone and I can’t seem to find any products that combat both!

    Hi Alison,
I’ve used both Liz Earle (which did not suit me) and Gatineau but have a continuous problem with redness which appears to be mild roseacea (which runs in the family).
I end up wearing heavy cream foundation then covered further with Laura Geller Balance & Brighten powder – but is there a way to reduce redness from a skincare routine, rather than using a green toned cream which again I don’t like, and heavy makeup?
Most foundations don’t cover the redness on my nose area.
    Thanks
    M

    Hi there,
I’m the same as Claire (30th dec). mature skin loosing suppleness and firmness but still spots ! Have tried virtually everything… thinking that mixing and matching might be the best option ?
Also would love a foundation that offers a youthfull glow (NOT SHEEN !) currently on BE, which is the best i have had to date.
Any help really would be appreciated….there are just so many products out there : (
    Thanks, Jan

Hi Alison, My grandaughter is 8 months old and has eczema around her mouth and gets really red and sore. She has a steroid cream from the doctor but my daughter doesn’t want to use it all the time as it is quite strong. Are there any creams for her condition in the Liz Earle or Elemis range that she could use?
    Thanks

    Hi Alison
I have really sensitive, combonation skin…oily forehead, nose and chin. I get a lot of spots too. My skin is such a mess. I’m 48 and have just use soap and water really all my life.
I have always been confused as to what to go for as there are so many products to get even just in the one range.
I have tried Liz Earle but got nowhere with that.
    Please help.

Hi Alison, I am 46 with combination skin that is prone to large pores, on cheeks and nose, but fine lines on my forehead. I have been cleansing, toning and moisturising for many years yet I have white lumps appearing under the skin as I get older with broken veins appearing on my nose. Alpha H seems to be helping with reducing the pores and balancing the oiliness. Is there anything else I should be doing in terms of skin care?
    Thanks

Hi Alison. I am in my late 50’s and have never used any form of moisturiser or cleanser at all…. only soap and water.
I have combination skin but its not as greasy as it used to be. What would be the best for me to use? Thanks

Hi Alison, Can you recommend a good cleanser for mature skin (late 50s) that’s prone to redness. I love most of the products in Lulu’s range and I’ve tried Liz Earle, but both their cleansers make the redness even worse. I think I must be allergic to water! Please help.
    Many thanks.

Hi Alison can you please give me some advice. I am a 50 year old woman with a few skin problem. I take very strong pain killers as I have a very painful back problem due to a car accident I had. Pain and taking pain killers does not do wonders for your looks or skin. I have tried Gatineau and Elemis and | am afraid I couln’t justify the cost as I did not see much of a change. I then bought the TSV of Perricone, my skin was to sensitive for this range. I have a lot of redness on my cheeks which I suppose is roseacea although I don’t really know what justify’s the term roseacea but anyway the Perricone really stung my face, which was really a shame because I think if I didn’t have this redness this product would have been really good as I saw a great difference to my fine lines and wrinkles and pigmentation so unfortunaly I am having to return this product. I am now using Liz Earl cleanse and polish and I think it is wonderful. Should I try her moisturiser, will it help an aged skin and my redness. Also I have very puffy eyes I have used so many product to no avail can you suggest something for me. I also have puffiness in the corners of my eyes, I never hear anyone addressing this problem is it not common?. I am sorry this is such a lengthy email but I just want to look a bit more human than I do. One last problem I us BM foundation and eye colours and I do use the primer but at my age I am experiencing the dreaded hot flushes at when this happens the sweat just rolls down my face and foundation no more.
    I desperated await your advice
    Kind Regards
    Audrey

    Hi Alison,
    Please help!
I am 29, single mum and a nurse so work shifts and don’t get too much sleep! I have dark circles and fine lines around the eye area. I also have dry red cheeks with an oily T-Zone and blocked pores on my nose and chin. I have used gatineau combination cleanser and toner for approximately 3 months now but cannot see much of a difference. I have also had some spot breakouts along my jawline recently (my skin just seems more oily) Please help by suggesting a skin care routine x

    Hi Alison
I have a spot which the head came off while exfoliating and I squeezed it and now it has no head and I have for the last few years been exfoliating and it just does not go and it looks terrible on my cheek – how do I get it to go? Tried all cleansers on QVC.
