Missing the Mouse!

Hi there,

Well for any of you that were watching Monday night you will know that I have just got back from Florida and the land of Mickey Mouse. I honestly felt like I was still on holiday with an hour of Ultrasun, then Summer Fashion with those gorgeous Kennedy collection sunglasses and then Bethlehem Lights who of course started their commercial lighting with the big theme parks.

I have to say I do love Ultrasun products anyway but on a holiday where you are out and about at theme parks they are so invaluable because of the once a day application so you don’t have to carry creams around in your fanny pack (which is American for bum bag!). I learnt that this year when one of the ride operators asked me to remove my fanny pack and I had no clue as to what he meant.

Florida was amazing (it has been four years since we last visited Mickey and friends) but they are so strict as to what is allowed on some of the rides now – you have to go through metal detectors so you need to travel as light as possible.

Ultrasun really protected the whole family, I saw so many red people standing in the theme park queues and some of them young children. I always put SPF50 on the children to begin with, then the second week use the Family 30, although, my son does like the Ultrasun Sports Range as his legs are so hairy now, which is strange as my husband hasn’t any hair on his legs at all!

jilly 5 editMy favourite is the Ultrasun Glimmer, it’s SPF20 and has the most glamorous sheen. I also tried the new Ultrasun Overnight Mask which is our Beauty Product of the Month this month, so grab it while you can as there’s free postage until the end of April.  It’s the last thing you put on your skin at night and is designed to help the skin recover from a day in the sun, and where my skin would normally feel quite dry in the morning, it really felt rejuvenated and plump! Definitely worth taking on holiday with you or even using here during the summer as once opened it will last up to 2 years!

Anyway enough holiday chatter, let’s get down to great things this weekend at QVC. Let’s see, well, the Dyson Fluffy is the TSV launch I have for you on Friday night at midnight. The Fluffy is a cordless vacuum that comes with two engineered heads and it is so incredibly powerful. I know that Joseph, our design engineer from Dyson, is going to be ready and waiting to answer all your questions too, so anything you want to know just tweet me @JillyQVC and I’ll get those answered.

I’ll have Friday Beauty for you beforehand at 9pm with my beloved Ultrasun featuring as well as the dynamic James Read (if you decide to fake that tan!) and Leigh from Tarte will be popping in and don’t forget Beauty Day on Sunday with a fabulous Laura Gellar TSV collection, perfect for a great summer look!

Hi Jilly, glad you all had a lovely holiday. Are the kids OK on the flights? I’m sure it was lovely and warm when you arrived!? You look really well, as always though. Did the kids have to miss any school? Have qw nice weekend x

Hi Susan, we flew with Virgin this time and the kids loved the flight, so many films to choose from and no school missed which meant it was very busy as it was the Easter hols but well worth it! Take care Jillyx
