Mini holidays and a flourishing garden!

Hi there!

How are you? Hope you are well and enjoying this wonderful weather, although, don’t want to complain but hasn’t it been soooo hot?!

I have had a great couple of weeks since getting back from France. Last week I spent a couple of days with my friend Alexa on the Sussex coast. First time I had visited her new house in Peacehaven, and as well as relaxing at home, we had cocktails and drinks in Brighton which was fun. You can see me in the photo taking in the view from her house, gorgeous isn’t it?

We were treated like royalty by the Liz Earle team and it was a great way to discover more about the brand and its island home. I was so impressed by the green credentials of the way the business is run and it was wonderful to see the famous house that you see in the Liz Earle promo with that gorgeous sea view. We had a wonderful lunch overlooking the sea then were treated to a tour of the flagship store and a facial – we all left the Isle with that famous Liz Earle glow!

In other news – my garden is looking wonderful – look at the begonias outside my bedroom window, its so great to open the shutters to them every morning. I am not the best gardener when it comes to watering or feeding so Richard’s All Season Plant Food, which you pop in and just leave, has been a godsend!! And my Greenbo planter look great too!

Also this Friday sees the launch of the new Sony Xperia Phone / tablet which I have been lucky enough to try out – it’s really cool. It is rather big as a phone, but having said that because it’s such a great phone AS WELL AS a brilliant sized tablet, it may well be that you can just carry one thing instead of 2 so ultimately I can see how useful it will be. It’s fast, great performance and the screen is a sheer delight. You can see me using it in Brighton whilst taking in the evening view of the pier.

Have a great week; do drop me a comment as I reply to them all.

Lots of love,

For more years than I care to remember, I’ve slogged away at work and foregone holidays (or squeezed in a quick weekend away like a lot of people do).
In the last few years, though, I’ve had my eyes opened to the fact that Life is very, very short and you have to grab it by the throat before it grabs you: friends have passed away from heart attacks at 38, a stroke at 42, blood clot at 52 – the list goes on – and it’s a real wake-up call, isn’t it?
So I am always heartened when I get a chance to read your blog, at how you have such a zest for Life and bob about on trips, excursions and as many holidays as your busy work schedule will allow, and all credit to you. Your lovely smile speaks volumes so here’s to many more smiles.
Good health, happiness and lots more hols!!

    Oh Mr Craig
Look at you in my home town!! Hope you had a fab time and were made to feel welcome!!!
You must have a brilliant time with your work Craig – you are so lucky!!
Have just had my two weeks off (second day back at work) – I have to say it was wonderful – had fantastic weather, although as you say, a little too hot!!!! Did get flooded last Monday (the freak storm that hit Worthing and Brighton strangely) had about 6 inches of water in the house – great!!! Also the garden took somewhat of a battering – so much hail I thought it had snowed!!! The garden was looking lovely – not so much now – hey ho.. Yours on the other hand looks really good.
    Take care lovely Craig.
    Lots of love
    Sarah P

    Hello Susanne,
Hope you are well. Sorry for the delay in responding. Just got around to reading your comment and it was really lovely. So sorry to hear about the people close to you that you have lost. That is really sad. I couldnt agree more with you, it really shows us how short life can be and you must live it to the fullest. I love getting away whenever I can, whether its to spend time with old friends or loved ones or just going somewhere different and taking in the beautiful views and the cultures.
Keep me updated on all your exciting plans! Cant wait to hear.
    Take Care
    Craig xx

    Hello Sarah P!
Its been a while! So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. So Brighton is your hometown? I absolutely love it there and go pretty often to be honest so feel free to keep an eye out for me!
Weather has changed a bit since you wrote your message I suppose, not so hot anymore and starting to miss it to be honest!
Thanks about my garden! It does look lovely at the mo, just need to make sure I keep up the maintenance! Did you get around to fixing your garden up after that freak weather?
Stay in touch and catch up soon.
