I am 24 and getting married this year and I REALLY need your help. I have had very spotty and sore skin all over my body since I was 11 but thanks to QVC products I am finally getting positive results on my face. My big concern is my back and chest where I constantly have red, sore and very unsightly lumps and spots, not ideal for a blushing bride!!! What products can you recommend that would help me??? Need this sorted A.S.A.P, really don’t want to be self conscious on the biggest day of my life!!
    Thank you!

Thank you for the BB yesterday! I am exhausted yet still excited! (Met you at the end of the second day – big blonde in a wheelchair.)
It was a joy to meet and chat with you – now I have to count all my products and compare my hoard to the list you gave me of the amount you have, lol!!!
It was sheer delight to meet and speak with all the experts and presenters (and try the products!!!)… Tom Ogden, Fiona Brackenbury, Andrew Bagley, Adele O’Donaghue, Lisa Julie and Lena at OPI, Lisa from Genie, Leighton Denny (yes Leighton I will post the photo, lol), the folks at Yogi for the quick masterclass, the folk at Philosopy, Emma Hardie, Dean Banowetz from Instyler, lady from Balance Me, Karra Beck at Perricone, Heather Steele from Nails Inc, Pipa Gordon, Jill Franks and all the others I saw but did not get a chance to speak to as by then everyone was packing up and going home! Could have done with another hour or two really, lol!!! Fabulous!!! (Can I come again???) x

    Hi Alison
Can you help I have been wearing false nails for years without a break (silly me) on impulse I had them all taken off today as I had noticed the last few times the underneath of two of my nails looked as though it was rotting the lady told me I had got water underneath the nail they look awful at the moment and are really weak and sore (all of the nails) and really soft I tried putting nail varnish on to cover but that looked even worse as the nails have ridges and are not smooth can you recommend a product that might help rebuild and restore my nails thank you so much

I am almost 40 and have always had good skin that is sensitive. But I have never had a proper skin care routine as it has always looked good just left it alone.I have only recently started to wear mineral make-up but I am noticing dehydration lines around my eyes and lines on my forehead.I’m not really sure what to use in a routine I watch alot of your shows and with so much choice am confused.
I have recently purchased the prai tsv but could you advise me on starting a routine to combat aging for a skincare novice..many thanks.Adrienne

Hi Alison, just watched you on Gemma Kidd, and at the end of the hour you finished by listing some more of the fab items for Gemma to bring back next time she airs in March. Please, please please could she add to the QVC shopping list her beautiful Multi tasking Skin Rescue Bio Complex veil SPF 15 which used to be in her range? Using Bio Complex feels like it continues to build on my every morning skin care routine throughout the whole day. I find that it dovetails beautifully when used in conjunction with Perricone’s ‘no foundation foundation’ helping towards maintaining a dewy, plumped, flawless, ‘no make-up’, naturally radiant look. Any sign of it putting in a repeat appearance in March? Best wishes. Ann-Marie

    Hi Alison,
I am 23 and I have oily skin and I’ve suffered from spots, uneven skin tone, and blackheads since I was 12. I’m going to a wedding in four months and I’m desperate for clear skin. I get spots all over my face, but particularly on my chin and forehead. I’d like to say I just have an oily t-zone, but to be honest, it’s my whole face, except my eyelids. In fact my eye lids are very dry.
I’ve tried lots of skin care ranges, including Liz Earle, they work at first and I get my hopes up, but then they stop working and I’m back to square one. I’ve used masks, exfoliators, cleansers, serums, and moisturisers over the years.
I’m desperate for some professional help as my skin is really getting me down. I’d love a new skin routine which works. Please help.
    Thank you

    Hello Alison
I am in my 50’s with good skin due to looking after it well over the years, but am now suffering slightly from the dreaded “jowls” droop from the ends of the mouth to my chin. It makes me look miserable which I am not!
This area needs some serious firming, and I am considering injectibles. But first – could you recommend a product, either for the throat & neck or for the jawline, which would help to improve the look of firmness?
    Yours hopefully

    Hey Alison ,
really enjoy watching all the beauty shows, with all the great advice , hints and tips.My question is this – a lot of the premium skin care ranges on QVC don’t seem to contain an SPF (why is this ? ) – I’ve been careful not to get sun damage by staying out of the sun and currently use Decleor products but am concerned that I’m not using an SPF on my skin daily. What would you recomend for me – I have v dry skin on my forehead, sides of nose and chin and use Angelique aromessence and hydrafloral moisturiser during the day.Your advice would be gratefully received !
Thanks and Kind Regards , Dawn Johnston.

    Dear Ms Young
I would dearly like some advice on how best to remove ULTRASUN sunscreen products of the face. I ordered the Ultra sensitive 50 +Very high protection-extreme formula. I have problematic sensitive skin. At 39 years old, I still have combination skin, prone to acne especially if I use oily or really rich products. I am using very little but I still find it is leaving my face very shiny and I am not sure how to best remove the product off my face at night … I would really appreciate some advice… I usually use the bareMinerals Cleansers to remove make up but I am not sure they can remove this Ultrasun sunscreen…
    Kindest regards

Hi Alison, I hope you can help. Just over a week ago I stupidly spilt hot oil on my foot resulting in a rather severe burn. I am under the care of the hospital and the burn is starting (very slowly!) to heal. I am eager to try and do whatever I can to help it to heal quickly and with as little scarring as possible. I would not of course apply any product to the areas of skin that are still open but I have lots of little patches around the outside where the burn was less severe and they very red and itchy. I have read online that hyaluronic acid is very good for helping burns to heal and I’m sure I have heard you mention this ingredient?
I appreciate of course that you are not able to offer any kind of medical advice, but any recommendations for anything I can use to generally speed skin healing, reduce pigmentation and minimise scarring would be very much appreciated.
    Many thanks.

    Hi Alison
I have been using Liz Earl since it was first introduced on QVC many years ago with brilliant results. Since my second pregnancy 7 years ago I have become very irritated by any products containing perfume (parfum). Unfortunately this means I can no longer use the entire Liz Earl range. I am now in my early forties and am showing signs of ageing such as crows feet etc but since my third pregnancy 18 months ago am now having more breakouts. Can you recommend a fragrance free anti ageing mosturiser and something to help with breakouts. Many Thanks Carol Powley (Hampshire)

Hi Alison. I always use Gatineau products as they are fabulous for my mid-sixties dry skin. Could you please pass on to other users of their Strategie Jeunesse throat gel is also first-class for use on the backs of hands! It tightens up my poor old wrinkles hands and makes them look much more youthful – great to use before special ‘do’s’, weddings, dinners etc.

  21. Ingrid Cotterill May 23, 2012 at 12:00 pm -  Reply

Hi Alison, as I mentioned in another post, I only use Gatineau products as my mid-sixties skin is dry and sensitive and needs a lot of moisturising. However, the Ultrasun Face 30 is exceptional in that it not only protects me against the sun (tried and tested in Europe, Asia and the Carribean), but also makes the need for morning moisturiser unnecessary. I am blonde, blue eyed and have a very fair skin with freckles so know what I’m talking about. It also saves on luggage weight as I only need to take the one products instead of several.

    Dear Alison,
Would like to know if QVC is going to re-stock the Cosmetics a la Carte Maxilip Primer and Volumiser?
This is by far the best product for treating and plumping up the lips and for those fine lines around same. It really works as a specialist product for a particular area. If applied 3 times a day for a couple of days the improvement is amazing. In my view it knocks all the other lip volumisers out of the “ball park”.

I’m a recent devotee to QVC and just love it. I am 59 and just find it difficult to decide which Gatineau range to go for! So far I have the throat gel, AOX moisturiser (in a TSV) but wonder if I should go for defilift or the collagen serum; also defilift for eyes or the award winning melatogine eye serum?! I’m loving the defilift 3D lip serum. Would love any advice as they all sound good – can you mix them, ie morning/night or even layer them? Many thanks.

    Hi Alison,
I’m wondering if you can offer me some advice. I am 26 years old and have always suffered from acne. The doctor told me it was due to the pollution.
I have always suffered from dry skin but on occasions my skin is becoming oily.
I have a job where I am outdoors and sometimes in unpleasant environments. I also exercise a lot.
I am currently using elemis rehydrating rosepetal cleanser, soothing apricot toner and maximum moisture day and night cream. For the past 4 years I have been using quinoderm morning and night. This has helped but I still have acne breakouts. I do not want to use quinoderm as a long term solution.
I also use bare minerals as other make-ups made the acne worse and my skin felt congested.
I have never been advised properly as what I should be using. Please help me!!

Also, I am a 58 year old lifetime eczema sufferer whose life has been transformed with the use of SBC Jasmine & Evening Primrose. I mixed the gel with E45 to use as a body moisturiser and use the shower cream daily. Can you say why QVC do not stock the shower cream in the 1 litre and 500 mls anymore. Lots of redness on my cheeks and round my nose.
Lots of brown spots all over my face but is increasing under my eyes and cheeks and also have lots of freckles which are getting darker and darker.
I break out mainly on my chin and jaw line but for the past 3 month been getting spots on the outer area of my cheeks.
My current skin care routine is
Aroma cleanse (cleansing milk and toner from Decleor)
    Neroli and Gel prolagene
hydra floral moisturising cream and also the eye cream
    Hydrotenseur eye serum
Cleansing water from Decleor for my eyes
Ultrasun spf 30 face every morning
My foundation is from Sisley Paris (phyto teint eclat) as bare minerals did not give me the coverage I need.

In the last couple of weeks my nails are going yellow (not near the cuticle, that’s still pink)and starting to flake again. I know that being diabetic could cause yellowing but I just wonder whether what I’ve been using could be causing the yellowing?

I see that the 30ml size is still available.

Hi Alison, Have just purchased the following items from Perricone, and I am not exactly sure in which order to use them am and pm. Nutrative cleanser, intense pore minimiser, concentratate restorative treatment, no concealer concealer , neuropeptide firming moisturiser and the blue plasma lotion. Have used some of the products in the past but decided to up my regime, I am a women of 57 and my skin is really good and likes the products. Can you help please with a specific routine. Many thanks Colleen Clark
