Meet our new Treasures of India guest – Angela Kanwar

Angela Kanwar - Treasures of India guest If you're a fan of Silver Treasures of India, you might notice a change on Saturday and Sunday when they return to QVC for the first time in 2011.

Founder and regular guest Debi has decided to take a step back from TV to concentrate on the business, so we're pleased to introduce you to our brand new guest – Angela Kanwar.

We caught up with Angela this week to find out a bit more about her and ask her about her debut on QVC…

How did you become involved with Silver Treasures of India?
I met Debi through a colleague a few years back, and she told me about her jewellery collection on QVC and how she had been showcasing Treasures of India for the last 7 years!

As we talked more, we discovered our mutual passion for both India as a country and love for jewellery, so we hit it off instantly.

Over time I got more involved with the Treasures of India collection, supporting Debi on design ideas and inspirations. Now with Debi's hectic schedule back in India and my background in media, we felt as though it would be the perfect partnership for the show going forward.

Debi is focusing on the creative direction and I'll be introducing to everyone on air the new inspirations behind the wonderful collection.
Have you appeared on TV before?
I presented on cable TV before a few years back, but not live! Radio was my main background for presenting.
Are you excited about going on QVC?
Yes, very much!

I can't wait to show everyone the new designs from the Treasures of India collection… the viewers are going to be spoilt for choice!
Treasures of India Heart Pendant on Garnet Necklace Which is your favourite Treasures of India design?
I own quite a few of the pieces now from the Treasures of India collection, maybe 20 or so styles (I'm hooked!). But that's a difficult question to answer!

I have so many favourites amongst the collection.  If had to choose one piece right now, it would have to be the stunning Silver Heart Pendant on a Multi Garnet Necklace which I'll be sharing with you this weekend – so have a look out for it!

I really like the Treasuses of India range and look forward to the return of it for the new year. I also look forward to the new guest presenter. As I watch the afternoon show Angela really exhibits an enthusiasm for the line and presents really well the history and inspiration for the jewellery. Welcome and good wishes to you Angela!
