The non-live channel broadcasting team

Meet our broadcasting team

0

Hello! We thought we’d take you behind the scenes here at QVC and introduce ourselves to you – we’re one of the broadcasting teams who look after our non-live channels – QVC Beauty, Extra and Style.

We’re a busy team and no two days are ever the same! Although we don’t broadcast live, we can have up to four shoots booked in every week.

So what exactly are we recording? Lots of things including editorial content with brands, behind the scenes information, hints and tips on how to use products, information on ingredients and what makes each brand so special, style tips and so much more.

Say hello to the team…

LukeLuke – Executive Producer

I’m in my second stint at QVC and took over the additional channels almost five years ago. My role is to make sure each channel’s output is professional and interesting. We commission content and try to have a fresh to approach and make sure output is both informative and interesting.

Fun fact: I was the first person to be awarded Sporting Colours at my university and I have a black belt in modern dance.

SteveSteve – Producer

I started in 2002 and stayed for five years doing five different roles. I’ve now had another three roles since coming back in 2013! My job is to look after the QVC Extra and Beauty channels, developing and commissioning new show ideas as well as producing enhanced content that can be used across the business.

Fun fact: one of my feet is a whole size bigger than the other one (but I don’t have to buy separate shoes!).

RoxRoxsanne – Producer

I started at QVC in 2011 and have worked across various roles in production over that period but only recently moved over to the non-live department where I work as a Producer. I look after the QVC Style and Beauty channels, working on new show ideas and enhanced content too.

Fun fact: I have a purple belt in Karate and represented South Africa for Kumite.

MargaretMargaret – Digital Non-Live Merchandiser

I have worked at QVC for three years in the non-live department and I’m currently Merchandiser for QVC Extra. My job involves working with the Live planners/buyers and the scheduling team upstairs to get the best products and shows that we can on to the Extra Channel.

Fun fact: I have just taken up archery!

ThomasThomas – Digital Non-Live Merchandiser

I first started working for QVC in April 2012, originally in the Planning department but have now moved to become a Non-Live Merchandiser for QVC Style. My role is to work with the wider team to get the best available products onto the Style channel. I also help my Producer with new show ideas or content and assist them in getting that to air.

Fun fact: I play football for the QVC team in the Chiswick Business Park league – two wins out of two so far!

WilliamWilliam – Digital Non-Live Programmer

I’ve been here for about 14 years (started in Sept 2001). What I do is schedule the programming (shows) on the non-live channels, making sure that there are no clashes with Live and that there is a good mix of shows across the channels.

Fun fact: I’m left-handed, support Arsenal and love Lego J and techy gadget things.

We’re going live!

Look out for our second ever live broadcast on QVC Extra on Friday 3rd July at 2pm, which will be featuring plants and flowers from the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. We’ll take a sneak peek inside the Flower Show and our resident gardening expert Richard Jackson will be answering your questions, so don’t miss it!
