Meet Michele Cisco from Moda di Pietra jewellery

Michele Cisco We've got another great jewellery collection making its debut on QVC UK today – Moda di Pietra. The range features fashion-forward gemset silver, inspired by the latest catwalk shows.

We chatted to guest Michele Cisco about this fabulous new collection, his work at the company and the inspirations behind their designs…

I'm Michele Cisco, the Trend Director of the Moda di Pietra jewellery collection. We're ready for our first ever show in the UK and I can't wait!

After the success of our collections across Europe and the USA, my team and I are really excited to be working with QVC UK – and I'm hoping this will be the start of a long-lasting relationship!

Michele with his Moda di Pietra jewellery The Moda di Pietra concept is simple yet sophisticated – it's on-trend, 'sempre alla moda' as we Italians say, and features fine craftsmanship. We use precious metals and fine natural gemstones from all over the world.

I come from Vicenza, and living in northern Italy, I guess you could say that I really live and breathe fashion. Since I was a child I've always wanted to be involved in the fashion and art world, which is why I chose to study Art History at university. It prepared me perfectly for a career in the artistic field.

One of my favourite studies was of the role costumes and accessories played in the movies throughout the years – it's fascinating to see how clothes, accessories and jewellery can truly define an age.

As Trend Director I research new trends and concepts to interpret into the jewellery collection. It's all about finding the must-have colours, the right shapes, the perfect balance in each design. I work with an international design team and we translate the latest trends into a fashion-forward gemset range.

Moda di Pietra Cleopatra 50cm Necklace - 600693 To really understand the current vibe and find inspiration, I travel throughout Italy, Europe and the USA, looking out for what's hot. The runway fashion shows all over the world are a good source of ideas, but I want our jewellery to reflect and be worn by REAL women. So I also look at what's going on in the streets of major cities, as well as in high street shops and fashion showrooms; I find inspiration everywhere!

The real challenge is finding the perfect natural materials and stones, but that's what we always strive to do for the Moda di Pietra colelction. We source all our own materials with no middlemen involved, which enables us to offer you amazing jewellery at such great prices.

We've chosen a wide selection of colours for this collection I'm bringing to QVC, all of which are trending in the world of fashion right now – from deep blues to slate greys, warm oranges, pastel pinks and much more. Each one has an important place in fashion and your wardrobe.

So join me at 3pm today and I'll show you how you can make these all winners in your day-to-day look.

See you then,

Was unable to find Debbie Flint’s blog, to leave her a post as she suggested following her Clarks shoes show on Friday the 29th July.
I totally agree with Debbie that we need more shoes in wide and extra wide fitting, it’s so hard to find these and many women must want and or need this? Please QVC, bring us more wide fit shoes.
