March is upon us and those evenings are definitely getting lighter! I've just enjoyed a fabulous week off work with the family. We went for a short stay to Dorset and had a brilliant time.
We did a spot of outdoor skiing, headed to Portland Bill for some delicious scones and during our stay in Dorset my son took this cracking photo of some wild deer!
The weather was really kind to us. A few days were very cold with a bracing wind but one of the days was filled with warm sunshine, ahh, spring is coming.
Our skiing and snowboarding went really well and I met up with a lovely viewer who served me a delicious fish cake and chips! Now we're talking! I do love my food – you may have noticed I say very, very little during a kitchen show at QVC!
I was always told it's rude to speak with your mouth full, and it's full for most of the show. In fact I'm known to plan my day of eating around a kitchen hour!
It was back to work on Monday and then Dale (my best buddy!) and I went for a spot of lunch on Tuesday. We devoured our plates and talked non-stop about anything and everything. Back at QVC my manager asked what we chatted about – for a split second I think he believed me when I said we discussed setting up a rival shopping channel!
I have some busy shows on the horizon including of course, Destination Gems every Tuesday evening at 8pm. This Tuesday 5th March we have another fabulous line up including Honora Pearl, Blueberry Quartz, Diamond and Fluorite – including this lovely ring. Also, we'll announce a brand new competition prize which I'm really excited about! And not forgetting of course… 'The Reveal'
Thank you if you're following me on twitter @mecharliebrook where I'll keep you updated with some of the goings on at QVC as well as a few random off-air topics too!
Catch up soon
Ps. We're growing delicious strawberries Monday 4th at midnight with our Today's Special Value!
